Jesse Palmer shared his thoughts on Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's decision to divorce after just three months of marriage.

In an Instagram post on Friday, April 12, Palmer expressed his support for the couple, saying, "My heart is forever with these two beautiful souls ❤️. I am eternally grateful to have gotten to know Gerry and Theresa and to have been a small part of their journey."

Palmer, the host of the Bachelor franchise, was there for Turner as he searched for love on the first season of The Golden Bachelor. He even went to their televised wedding in January.

After spending time with them, Palmer said, "I gained valuable insights about life, love, and family from watching and chatting with them." He added, "I wish them and their families all the happiness in the world."

Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, announced their breakup on Good Morning America. They shared that their decision to part ways was because they couldn't agree on where to live, even though they still care for each other.

During the broadcast, Turner mentioned, “Theresa and I have had many heartfelt talks. After looking at our living arrangements, we both feel it's time to end our marriage. What stands out the most in our discussions is our strong commitment to our families. We believe that living separately will bring happiness to each of us.”

During their conversation, Nist and Turner mentioned that they had a prenuptial agreement in case of a breakup. Nist also mentioned that they had to return their wedding rings.

Nist expressed, "I believe I have to give this ring back. It's sad to say," with Turner adding, "But you know what, we don't have to give back the memories."

Hours later, it was confirmed that Turner filed for divorce in his hometown of Petersburg, Indiana, listing the day of their breakup announcement as the date of separation. He stated that the reason for the split was an “irretrievable breakdown” of the marriage.

Palmer is not the only one from Bachelor Nation who has shared their thoughts on the couple's separation. Susan Noles, a contestant from The Golden Bachelor who officiated Turner and Nist’s wedding, commented on We’s initial post about the split, wishing the pair “all the very best.” Noles also made a joint Instagram video with fellow cast member Kathy Swarts discussing Turner and Nist’s breakup.

“They have their reasons, I’m sure,” Noles, 67, said in the clip. “So be supportive everybody. Stay positive, and we wish them all the best.”
