Jenna Johnson**** loves being on Dancing With the Stars and hopes to return. She shared with We on Thursday, May 16 that she would love to be back on the show. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be on the show and called it a dream come true for herself and her family.
"I absolutely love performing and teaching. The best feeling is when Monday nights come around and you hear the countdown '5, 4, 3, 2, 1,' and you go live on air. It's an incredible experience that I thrive on. That's why I'm thrilled to be back for the 33rd season."
Johnson has been a professional on DWTS since 2014. Her last partner was model Tyson Beckford during the 2023 season 32. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in week 3. However, Johnson's husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, went on to win the mirrorball trophy with his partner Xochitl Gomez.
Johnson further teased whether Chmerkovskiy, 38, will be back in the ballroom this fall.
“I would assume we would want [this season] to be a family affair, yeah,” Johnson quipped.
DWTS is truly a family affair as Johnson and Chmerkovskiy often dance with his sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd. They also like to bring their 16-month-old son, Rome, to visit them at work.
Jenna Johnson Wants to Return for Dancing With The Stars Season 33 With Her Whole Heart
Jenna Johnson**** shared a fun anecdote about how her son visited the set of ABC's show. She mentioned having videos of him sitting on the judges' table and enjoying the lights and lasers in the ballroom during a lunch break. Johnson added that they placed him on the stage to see him dance, and he showed a love for performing. It seems like they have a little performer in the making!
Johnson, however, is not pushing her son to follow in her and Chmerkovskiy’s footsteps.
She mentioned that she will support him in whatever he wants to do. Initially, she was hesitant about him dancing and feeling pressured for him to follow in their footsteps. Even though their family is very into dance, she believes that if it comes naturally to him, then that's what matters. Whenever there is music playing, he is always moving, clapping, and smiling. She wants to let things happen naturally and not force him into anything. If he truly loves it, she doesn't want to stand in his way.
Before Johnson makes her return to the DWTS stage, she always ensures that her skin is ready for the spotlight with Exuviance’s Performance Peel AP25.
“As a choreographer and dancer, it's important for me to have clear, smooth, and radiant skin when I show up on set,” Johnson shared. “Over the years, I have learned the importance of prioritizing my skin care routine to find what works best for me.”
Johnson, who has dealt with sensitive skin problems for a long time, is a big fan of Exuviance's cream cleanser. She loves how it doesn't leave her skin feeling oily. Additionally, she swears by their Performance Peel AP25.
You can easily do this professional-level at-home peel yourself," she mentioned. "By using it twice a week, you'll notice incredible improvements. It not only addresses wrinkles, fine lines, but also enhances skin texture and refines pores.
