Ariana Madix, from Vanderpump Rules, will be joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars while going through a breakup with Tom Sandoval. Sandoval has been involved in an affair with his co-star, Raquel Leviss. Madix, who is 37 years old, was the first cast member to be announced for season 32 of the ABC competition series, set to premiere in the fall. The announcement was made on the July 7 episode of Good Morning America.

Derek Hough excitedly joined Madix and her co-star Katie Maloney at their sandwich shop, Something About Her, for a grand reveal. "This upcoming season on Dancing With the Stars, we're completely ecstatic about Madix," he playfully hinted.

Hough enthusiastically continued, "Bid farewell to the drama and welcome the dance floor with open arms."

The rest of the cast members will be announced on GMA on Thursday, September 13.

Madix garnered attention in March when she and Sandoval, 40, ended their nine-year relationship due to Sandoval's ongoing affair with Leviss, 28. According to a source, Madix discovered Sandoval and Leviss' relationship when she looked through his phone while he was performing his new song on stage at a concert in early March.

Filming for the Bravo series' 10th season concluded prior to the public revelation of the cheating scandal, referred to as Scandoval. However, shooting resumed after the incident occurred. After separating from Sandoval, Madix received support from the Pump Rules cast amidst the cheating scandal. Prior to the taping of the season 10 reunion in May, which aired a month later, Madix expressed her gratitude towards her fellow cast members for standing by her side during the taping.

"I experienced a range of emotions, including anger and sadness. However, I truly believe that the overwhelming feeling I had was immense gratitude towards my friends," she shared on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast during that period. "This includes both the friends who were present on that day and those who have supported me in various ways."

On the other hand, Sandoval, who confessed to initiating his involvement with Leviss in August 2022, accused his fellow cast members of capitalizing on his affair.

"Utilizing all of these elements as material for their podcast, my fellow cast members bombard me with questions. However, your curiosity is not driven by concern for Ariana, but rather by your desire to gather more content for your own podcast," he expressed at that moment. "This repulses me to my core. It is utterly revolting. You are not genuinely invested in Ariana's well-being. Your motives are solely focused on personal gain."

While several Bravo cast members have reaped the benefits of the drama - profiting from their respective podcasts, merchandise, and more - Madix has experienced the most significant financial transformation. It has been reported that she earned over $1 million through sponsorship deals with companies such as Uber, Bic, Duracell, and others. Furthermore, she has also recently secured a role in the Lifetime movie, Buying Back My Daughter.

"We don't possess any generational wealth within our family," Madix revealed in a June 2023 interview with Glamour. "My aim is to generate sufficient income to provide for my mother, brother, and any other relatives who may require assistance. I strive to eliminate any concerns about financial stability, and will diligently pursue opportunities to achieve this."
