Jenelle Evans is reflecting on her tumultuous marriage with estranged husband David Eason.

In a recent Instagram Stories Q&A, the 32-year-old reality star shared that despite the challenges, she does not regret the experience.

Evans mentioned that she has learned valuable life lessons from the situation, which have helped her to mature and grow. She believes that life has become easier to understand as a result of these lessons.

The former Teen Mom 2 star admitted that she has learned from her mistakes, referring to her ex-husband as a big mistake.

In March, Evans officially filed for separation from Eason, her husband of six years, with the intention of making the separation permanent.

When a social media user asked why she chose separation over divorce, the 16 and Pregnant alum shared her reasoning. She explained that in North Carolina, a legal separation is required for a year with proof of two separate addresses before filing for divorce. However, both parties were reluctant to move out, so she opted for a "separation by bed and board" when she had the chance.

Throughout their marriage, Evans and Eason were often in the spotlight for the ups and downs of their relationship. In 2019, MTV decided to end their association with the couple after Eason confessed to killing the family dog. Evans ended her marriage with Eason that same year, but they got back together in March 2020.

As they continue to live apart, Evans, who has a son named Jace, 14, with her ex Andrew Lewis, a son named Kaiser, 9, with her ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and a daughter named Ensley, 7, with Eason, claims that her immediate family is relieved that someone is no longer in the picture.

Evans claimed that Eason is happier now and doesn't contact the kids. According to her, he is living his best life and even his daughter doesn't want to live with him.

In a recent interview with Celebuzz, Eason mentioned that he is feeling much happier and healthier after his separation from Jenelle.

"The stress was making me physically ill," he shared with the publication. "I'm relieved that I no longer have to deal with overwhelming anxiety every morning." He also mentioned his readiness to finalize the divorce papers quickly.

During her Q&A session, Evans was questioned about Eason's TikTok videos, where he discusses his present situation. She advised her followers not to trust everything they see online.

"He's only saying those things to make himself 'look better,' but deep down," she explained, "he knows the real person he is when no one is watching."

As she continues with her separation, Evans shared with a follower that dating is not her main focus right now. Her priority is on taking care of herself and her children.

When another fan said Evans looked “happier despite everything,” she replied, “I do good at hiding it, but have a lot of anxiety today.”
