Jason Kelce had a mishap with his Super Bowl ring in a very Ohio-like manner - it ended up in a pool full of Skyline Chili.

At the "New Heights" live event at the University of Cincinnati on April 11, Jason and his brother Travis, both alumni of the university, took part in fun games. The games included student athletes and non-student athletes competing in challenges inspired by "Revenge of the Nerds."

In a game titled "Jason Lost His Ring," participants had to search for Jason's real Super Bowl ring hidden in a sock within a children's pool filled with Ohio's popular Skyline Chili, spaghetti, and cheese.

Jason shared on the episode of "New Heights" that aired on Wednesday, April 17, that the game was based on his habit of misplacing his Super Bowl ring, which he won when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII in 2018.

It seemed easy at first, but then everything went downhill.

Jason admitted, "I'm not sure if Travis is aware, but I actually lost my Super Bowl ring during that event. They couldn't locate it."

After searching extensively for the ring the day after the event, we were unable to locate the prized possession.

Jason expressed his disappointment, saying, "We still haven't found it. All of the stuff has been discarded. So, I believe it's safe to assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill somewhere in the Cincinnati tristate area. I never imagined this would happen."

Travis, 34, was left flabbergasted, asking his brother, “What did you expect to happen?!”

Jason said he thought they would simply “go in the pool and get the ring afterwards” if nobody was able to find it during the game.

“You are such a f–king imbecile,” Travis told him. “Goddamn it, Jason.”

Resigned to the fact that his ring was long gone, Jason noted he had already taken some necessary next steps.

Jason announced that the Super Bowl ring was officially missing. He mentioned that the insurance claim had already been submitted and speculated that the insurance company might have some input on whether they would cover it.

Despite the situation, Jason reassured that he was not overly worried about the loss of the ring.

“It’s just a hunk of metal,” he said. “I’ll just have another one made, I think. They can do that, right?”

Editor's P/S:

Jason Kelce's Super Bowl ring mishap serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of carelessness. Despite his initial nonchalance, the loss of such a valuable and sentimental possession is undoubtedly a significant setback. While Jason's nonchalant attitude towards the loss may be a coping mechanism, it is important to recognize the emotional impact of such an event. The ring represents a pinnacle achievement in his football career, and its loss undoubtedly carries some degree of disappointment.

Furthermore, Jason's admission that he had already filed an insurance claim raises questions about the potential financial implications of the loss. While insurance may provide some compensation, it is unlikely to fully cover the sentimental value of the ring. The incident highlights the importance of being mindful of one's belongings and taking necessary precautions to prevent such mishaps in the future.
