Jason Kelce, 36, made it clear that his wife Kylie Kelce is not a homemaker. He responded to an X user on Monday, May 27, who had labeled Kylie as such. This comes just days after Jason expressed his disagreement with Harrison Butker's controversial comments about women in the workforce.

Jason expressed his view on Kylie, stating, "I don't see Kylie as just a homemaker, but as my wife and a mother. We both have our own occupations and work together to maintain our home. Our marriage is a partnership where we are equal and figuring things out every day. The most important thing is that we love and support each other, and prioritize our family above all else."

Jason responded to criticism about the cleanliness of his house by acknowledging that both he and his partner are busy raising their kids and working, which leads to a messy home with three young children and busy schedules. Neither of them are neat freaks, so it's a joint effort to keep the house tidy.

During the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast hosted by Jason and his brother Travis Kelce on Friday, May 24, Jason mentioned that he didn't agree with some of the statements made by Butker during a commencement speech at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, on May 11.

Jason mentioned that a lot of the things said in the commencement speech were not aligned with his beliefs. However, he acknowledged that since it was a speech at a Catholic university, it ended up being very religious and Catholic.

He pointed out that when the speaker emphasized the importance of family and the role of a mother, he also understood that not everyone has to be a homemaker if that is not their choice in life. Jason mentioned that when listening to someone, you can appreciate certain points while also disagreeing with others.

Jason mentioned that his wife, who he has three daughters with - Wyatt (4), Ellie (3), and Bennett (14 months), was feeling a bit frustrated by some of the comments made.

Butker, who is teammates with Jason's brother Travis on the Kansas City Chiefs, has received backlash for his remarks about women entering the workforce and his belief that being a homemaker is one of the most significant roles.

"How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world," said the kicker.

The athlete shared that his own wife, Isabelle, would agree that her life truly began when she embraced her roles as a wife and a mother.

During a speech at the Regina Caeli Academy Courage Under Fire Gala in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, May 24, Butker finally addressed the controversy.

He mentioned, "If it wasn't obvious before, it is now clear that many people have a strong dislike for timeless Catholic values. In the past few days, there have been numerous discussions worldwide focusing on my beliefs, or rather, what people assume my beliefs to be."

Butker shared that when he first spoke out, he faced a lot of hate from many people. However, as time passed, even those who didn't agree with him showed support for his right to practice his religion freely. Throughout his seven years in the NFL, Butker has experienced both positive and negative comments, with most of them focusing on his performance during games.

Furthermore, Kelce's disagreement with Harrison Butker's comments on women in the workforce sparks a broader conversation about the value and importance of both homemaking and professional pursuits. Butker's speech at Benedictine College ignited a debate about the choices women should make, while Kelce's response advocates for the freedom to choose a path that aligns with one's values and aspirations. This exchange underscores the need for a nuanced and inclusive approach to discussions about gender and societal roles, recognizing the diverse experiences and perspectives of individuals.
