Jana Kramer Shares Wedding Dress Moment, Reflects on Overcoming Judgment Before Allan Russell Wedding

Jana Kramer recently gave a glimpse into her search for the perfect wedding dress and talked about dealing with judgment before her upcoming wedding with fiancé Allan Russell.

In a photo shared on Instagram on May 28, the 40-year-old actress was seen standing between two racks of wedding dresses. She looked stunning in a strapless wedding gown with a beautiful long train.

When I get married, I know the comments and judgment will come. Sometimes, your past and decisions can bring hurt and shame. But they shouldn't define you, as @kathrynvwoodard reminded me.

Kramer discussed trolls' comments on her relationship history with Kathryn Woodard on the "Whine Down" podcast episode on Monday, May 27th.

Kramer admitted, "Do you think I wanted to be married that many times? It’s embarrassing." She shared that she was married to Michael Gambino for less than a year in 2004, to Johnathon Schaech from 2010 to 2011, and to Mike Caussin from 2015 to 2021. Despite having been married multiple times, she feels like she's only been married once because of the nature of her first two marriages.

When I was 19, I made a mistake by going to Vegas with someone I barely knew. Unfortunately, he turned out to be dangerous and tried to harm me, leading to his conviction on attempted murder charges in 2005. He passed away in 2012.

Reflecting on her past relationships, Kramer admitted that she quickly realized marrying Schaech was a wrong decision. She also expressed that she never wanted to end her marriage with Caussin, with whom she has two children, daughter Jolie, 8, and son Jace, 5.

"I never wanted to end up in a failed marriage. I never wanted my husband to betray me repeatedly. I truly wished for a happy and lasting marriage," she expressed. "Despite all that, I am now thankful for the love I have in my life. But divorce was never my desired outcome."

Jana Kramer, who shared a photo on Instagram, has found love with Russell, 43. They welcomed their first baby, son Roman, in November 2023. Despite this joyous occasion, Kramer confessed that she still feels a sense of "embarrassment" when she thinks about their upcoming wedding.

"It contains fragments of shame. It's mainly due to the negative comments and such," she explained.

Even though Kramer sometimes feels affected by the haters, she reflected on a positive note on Tuesday that helps her ignore the criticism from others.

"Here's to the girl who feels like she has made countless mistakes. Thinks she is the root of all problems, that she deserves mistreatment, that she is flawed. That she is the cause of everything... don't let your past dictate your future," she shared on Instagram. "You have the right to begin anew as many times as you need. You deserve to find happiness, no matter how long it takes. Strive to comprehend your reasons and the lessons until you reach where you are meant to be... and discover your true self, even if you never believed in it."

Kramer, who became engaged to Russell in May 2023, revealed on Monday's "Whine Down" episode that Russell was "the first person" who didn't judge her based on her past marriages when they first started dating.

"When I met him for the first time, he didn't even flinch. I didn't feel like I was being judged or had to explain myself. He simply said, 'You're a warrior and I love you,'" she shared. "I can't picture a world without Allan. This life is so beautiful, something I never thought possible."
