Jamie Lynn Spears, 32, expressed her gratitude and excitement for her two-week journey on Dancing With the Stars. After being eliminated on the October 3 episode, she took to Instagram to share her thoughts. Despite the disappointment expressed by fans, Spears remained positive, emphasizing what an amazing experience it had been for her. She also expressed her excitement to see the other contestants and their partners continue to excel each week.
In addition, Spears expressed her gratitude towards her partner, Alan Bersten, who had previously emerged as the winner of DWTS in season 28. "Alan, you are truly the best friend and partner anyone could ever ask for," Spears stated. She further expressed her excitement about the funds she raised for her #SAGAFTRA community and the opportunity to meet incredible people. "In my opinion, I consider it a win as it aligns with my initial goals. Softball moms are attractive."
Bersten, 29, also shared his thoughts on the duo's elimination by posting a sad face emoji on his Instagram Story on Tuesday night. "There's nothing I enjoy more than dancing on Dancing With the Stars," he added with a caption. Moreover, he simply wrote, "Damn," in a Twitter post.
Days before, Bersten lauded Spears' talent by sharing a backstage video of one of their practice sessions. "I must admit, @jamielynnspears, I am incredibly proud of you! You continue to amaze me with each passing day," he wrote on October 1, Sunday. "I genuinely enjoy our time together, and you constantly keep me guessing!"
After calculating the scores on Tuesday, Judge Derek Hough expressed his surprise at Jamie Lynn Spears' elimination on 'Dancing With the Stars.' "I have to say, it's really unexpected. Jamie Lynn, you were absolutely fantastic," he told her as she made her exit from the ballroom. "You should be extremely proud of your performance here. It's truly astonishing. Jamie, you will be missed."
Prior to leaving the ABC series, Spears found an unlikely supporter in her former brother-in-law, Kevin Federline. In anticipation of Tuesday's episode, Federline, aged 45, expressed to TMZ that he's firmly on her side, stating, "I'm definitely cheering for her." Federline was previously married to Jamie Lynn's older sister, Britney Spears, from 2004 to 2006. They have two sons together, Jayden (17) and Preston (18).
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
