He continued, "I want you to witness my laughter, my enjoyment at parties, my humor in cracking jokes, my performances in movies and television shows. I didn't want you to witness me with tubes attached to my body, struggling to determine if I would survive."

In April, it was announced in the news that the acclaimed actor of "Ray" had been admitted to the hospital due to a "medical complication." Foxx's eldest daughter, Corinne Foxx, confirmed this alarming news on Instagram, assuring everyone that he was already making progress towards recovery.

Jamie, along with his sister Deidra Dixon and his doctors, have played a crucial role in saving his life.
