An update on the health of Jamie Foxx has been shared by his former costar Porscha Coleman, over two months following his hospitalization for an undisclosed medical condition.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the BET Awards on Sunday, June 25, Coleman, 37, assured that Foxx is doing well, stating, "I've talked to people very close to Foxx." She expressed frustration with media outlets for spreading misinformation without accurate details. Coleman, who worked with Foxx, 55, in the 2021 Netflix comedy series Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, added that she understands his desire to maintain privacy as he has always valued it.

Jamie Foxx has always maintained a low profile, even in his dating life," Coleman commented. "So, it didn't surprise me when I heard the news. I reached out to him, and he's handling it the way he should. He's resting and doing well. I have no doubt he'll be back soon."

At the beginning of this year, Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne, aged 29, announced that her father had been hospitalized due to a medical emergency. "We want to inform you that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she stated on April 12. "Fortunately, prompt action and excellent care have already put him on the path to recovery. We are aware of his immense popularity and appreciate your prayers. The family kindly requests privacy during this time."

Foxx shares Corinne with ex Connie Kline. He also shares daughter Anelise, 14, with ex Kristin Grannis.

One month after Foxx's hospitalization was announced, Corinne disclosed that her father had been back home "for weeks" despite reports of his declining health. On May 12, she shared on Instagram, "In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!"

Prior to this, Foxx had expressed gratitude to his Instagram followers for the overwhelming love and support he received following the news about his health. "Feeling blessed," he added.

Foxx and his family have yet to reveal the nature of the "complication." However, earlier this month, his representative dismissed a viral claim that Foxx had been left "partially paralyzed and blind" due to the COVID-19 vaccine. The representative stated that the rumor was completely untrue in a statement to NBC News.

During his hospitalization, Foxx was in the process of filming the upcoming film Back in Action, alongside Cameron Diaz, Kyle Chandler, and Glenn Close. In the days following Foxx's medical emergency, Diaz, aged 50, was seen filming scenes for the movie with Foxx's body double.
