After the 2024 Golden Globes, a Netflix production called Beef has been generating a lot of attention. But is it a Netflix movie? Here's what you should know.

With the culmination of Succession's final season, the premiere of The Last of Us, and the Barbenheimer phenomenon, it's clear that 2023 was a fantastic year for television and movies.

The awards season is in full swing and this past weekend, several titles and their actors scored big at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Netflix took home five trophies, but it was Beef that made the biggest impression. Here's the scoop on whether there's a Beef movie available on Netflix.

Is there a Beef movie on Netflix?

No, there isn’t a Beef movie on Netflix. But there is a 10-episode season that is streaming on the platform right now.

The first season of Beef premiered on Netflix in April 2023 and immediately climbed to the top 10 chart. The series received widespread praise and took home three Golden Globes awards this year. Congratulations to the team! Keep watching the show on @CBS and @paramountplus! #GoldenGlobes

In addition to winning the award for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for TV, Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, the lead stars, both won awards for their outstanding performances in a limited series.

There is currently no Beef movie, and there are no plans for one at the moment. However, there is a full season available to watch. Even though it is labeled as a limited series, creator Lee Sung Jin has mentioned the potential for a Season 2, possibly as an anthology show.

Backstage at the Golden Globes, Jin disclosed to Deadline: "We've consistently presented the season as an anthology series to potential buyers. It was always intended to feature new characters.

"Whether it remains limited, transitions into an anthology, or we persist with the current format, that's entirely up to Netflix. But whatever they choose, I'm fully prepared."

Beef (the show) is available to stream on Netflix now, and you can read more about the series below:

Editor's P/S

As a hard fan of the show "Beef", I am thrilled to see it gaining recognition and receiving critical acclaim. The series premiered on Netflix in April 2023 and quickly became a hit, climbing to the top 10 chart. The show's success was further solidified when it won three Golden Globe awards this year, including Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for TV. The lead stars, Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, also won awards for their outstanding performances.

I appreciate the show's unique storytelling and its ability to explore complex human emotions and relationships. The chemistry between Wong and Yeun is undeniable, and their performances bring depth and authenticity to their characters. The show's exploration of themes such as anger, resentment, and forgiveness is both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant. I highly recommend "Beef" to anyone looking for a compelling and well-crafted series.
