Introducing Chevreuse: The New Character in Genshin Impact Version 4.3

Get ready for the arrival of Chevreuse, the new character in Genshin Impact's version 4.3. Learn about Chevreuse's origin, abilities, and the upcoming changes in the game.

The Arrival of Chevreuse

Genshin Impact has revealed Chevreuse as a new character for the second part of version 4.3. Joining Genshin Impact's playable cast is Chevreuse, a four-star Polearm wielder known as the Surveillance Patrol. She hails from the Fontaine region, using a muzzle-loading musket to hunt enemies. Information about Chevreuse's origin is fairly light, but some credible leakers claimed that she is the leader of Fontaine's security department and resolves criminal cases related to public safety.

Chevreuse's Abilities and Kit

Genshin Impact has provided an early look at Chevreuse's kit, which seems to be based on AoE Pyro damage. The four-star Pyro unit uses a long-caliber musket to scorch through enemies, performing spear strikes using her signature Polearm. She can lunge forward to deal damage to enemies along the way with the charged attack. Chevreuse has a powerful elemental skill that allows her to fire at opponents and restore HP to any active character on her team. Moreover, she performs a precise shot to deal higher AoE Pyro damage when players hold the skill button. According to the character description, Chevreuse is a support best suited for Genshin Impact's overloaded teams. Using her elemental burst, she fires a grenade that splits into explosive shells and deals AoE damage to nearby enemies. Also, Chevreuse takes advantage of a few passives, which decrease stamina consumption and increase ATK for allies based on her max HP.

Upcoming Changes in Genshin Impact

After the conclusion of version 4.3, Genshin Impact will add new characters for players to renovate their active squads and bring some long-requested changes, including additional party slots. Based on early leaks, it has been revealed that Travelers will be able to create five more custom parties in version 4.4, meaning it will be easier to try out new compositions. Besides, the Lantern Rite festival will recur in the upcoming update and provide players with generous rewards, such as Primogems and a free four-star unit. Once the second half of update 4.3 is released, Genshin Impact players will recruit some reruns, including Raiden Shogun, who will be part of a limited event warp. Surprisingly, the four-star Bow user Kujou Sara will make a return alongside Bennett, a Pyro-based unit that was featured on a banner phase four months ago. Another thing to note is that a pair of five-star weapons, Thundering Pulse (Bow) and Engulfing Light (Polearm), will be available to claim in the Epitome Invocation.
