Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have encountered obstacles in their journey towards marriage.
The couple, who began their relationship in late 2018, recently got engaged in May 2021. Following the proposal, Tartick shared with We that they were proceeding cautiously in their wedding preparations due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, which has resulted in various setbacks and cancellations.
According to him, there are ongoing challenges in finding the perfect venue due to the COVID-related postponements of many weddings. He emphasized the importance of taking things step by step, starting with hiring a wedding planner. Once that is sorted, they will proceed to secure a venue, location, and time, but they are currently in the process of seeing the suggestions made by the wedding planner.
Later that year, Bristowe revealed to Us that they have already chosen a date and plan to get married in Nashville, where they currently live. She mentioned that they have completed tasks such as finalizing the guest list, creating a wedding website, and setting the date. Thus, they are making the necessary preparations for their wedding.
In March 2022, Tartick acknowledged that the original date would probably be postponed until 2023. He revealed that they had enlisted the services of Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti's wedding planner. Three months later, Bristowe confirmed to Us that the new date would be New Year's Eve.
In June 2022, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick expressed their desire for a Gatsby-themed wedding. They envisioned an extravagant affair with elements such as black-tie dress code, champagne fountains, and unique touches that reflect their personalities. While this theme may not typically align with their usual preferences, they were excited to infuse their own creativity into the event. Kaitlyn mentioned that as the wedding approaches, she might become a bit more particular in her decisions. She acknowledged Jason's expertise in finance and budgeting, complementing her own strengths in the creative aspect of wedding planning. Together, they aimed to create a wedding that is both unique and representative of who they are as a couple.
She expressed her delight in their extended engagement, remarking on how quickly time had flown since they became engaged in May 2021. Bristowe shared, "We had initially planned to tie the knot in May next year, but here we are in June and I can't believe how quickly it all happened!"
The couple, Bristowe and Tartick, confessed their struggle with their wedding plans less than three months later. Bristowe expressed her desire to get married on NYE and said she would still be happy to do so, but Tartick disagreed. Bristowe described their differences in styles, tastes, and preferences when it comes to choosing a venue, which often leads to frustration. For example, she would fall in love with a venue, considering it perfect and open, while he would dismiss it, stating that it doesn't fit their desired style.
During an interview with E! News two months later, Bristowe verified that they had not yet secured a venue or set a date. "To be honest with you, we are both feeling quite stressed," she admitted.
In the subsequent months, the couple became less forthcoming about their wedding preparations. Earlier this summer, an insider divulged exclusively to Us that they were tired of constantly being asked about their impending nuptials.

Bachelor Nation is currently inundating their social media platforms with questions about the couple's relationship status following her decision to remove her wedding ring and their subsequent vacations taken separately in the month of July. This speculation appears to have prompted Bristowe to express her frustration through Instagram Stories. In a post that has since been deleted, she wrote, "It's astounding how people feel entitled to expect things from me when I haven't even had the chance to process everything myself. Show some empathy," she said. "Your comments and demands are unsettling and I'm starting to worry about your well-being."
Returning to the app, she guided her followers to her latest song of 2020 titled "If I'm Being Honest." Within, she shared the evocative lyrics: "Although I am an open book, please understand that you don't possess the entirety of my story. If I'm truly honest, there are times when my tough exterior does falter. Moments arise where my vulnerability emerges, and words have the power to deeply affect me. Particularly, it is the internal dialogue that inflicts the most significant impact."
