Kaitlyn Bristowe shared an emotional photo of herself after she and Jason Tartick confirmed their split on Sunday, August 6.

"Goodbye for now, see you soon!" Bristowe wrote on her Instagram Story, attaching a makeup-free selfie with a red nose, suggesting she had been crying. In her next story, the former Bachelorette requested prayers for their well-being, acknowledging the negative impact of social media and the need for a temporary break.

Bristowe and Tartick, both 34 years old, began their relationship in January 2019 after Tartick made an appearance on Bristowe's podcast, "Off the Vine." In May 2021, Tartick proposed, but the couple faced difficulties in deciding on a wedding date.

"We have quite a humorous dynamic," Bristowe, the former Bachelorette, exclusively shared with We in August 2022. "When it comes to discussing potential wedding venues, we actually have very different tastes, styles, and preferences, which can be quite frustrating. I'll come across a venue that I absolutely adore, thinking it's perfect and available, only for Jason to dismiss it completely, saying it's not the style we're going for."

In late July, amidst the wedding delays, speculation about the former couple splitting up arose when Bristowe was observed without her engagement ring while on a beach vacation. Just days after that, she shared a selfie of herself crying, along with a message reassuring others that they are not alone in their hardships.

Finally, on Sunday, the Bachelor Nation personalities made the announcement that they had ended their relationship earlier in the summer.

"After informing our immediate family and closest friends and allowing ourselves the necessary time to reflect, we are deeply saddened to disclose that we have mutually decided to terminate our engagement," the couple expressed in a joint Instagram post. "We extend our gratitude to all of you who have granted us the space and understanding to navigate through this significant life-altering decision, as it encompasses a multitude of emotions and adjustments."

They stressed in their announcement that their separation is amicable. "Maintaining our friendship is of utmost importance to both of us," they clarified. "We feel fortunate to be concluding our engagement with love and respect for one another. It is with a heavy heart and aching sadness that we bid farewell, but our care and admiration for each other will endure indefinitely."

Prior to their romance, Bristowe was engaged to Shawn Booth, who won season 11 of The Bachelorette. Their engagement ended in November 2018, three years after he proposed on the reality show.
