Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick have recently announced the end of their engagement and the decision to part ways. In a joint Instagram post on Sunday, August 6, they expressed their gratitude towards their loved ones for allowing them the necessary time and support to process this life-altering decision.
Bristowe and Tartick have decided to share custody of their beloved pets. Rather than allowing their breakup to affect their furry friends, they have chosen to maintain a united front in caring for their dogs, Ramen and Pinot, who are like brothers to each other. Despite the end of their romantic relationship, their commitment to love and nurture their pets remains strong.
In addition, both Bristowe and Tartick emphasize the importance of continuing their friendship. They both value the bond they have developed and are grateful to part ways with love and respect for one another. Although bidding farewell is undoubtedly heartbreaking and saddening, their care and admiration for each other will endure.

They expressed their gratitude for the cherished moments shared and the unwavering support received from everyone for both themselves and their sons over the years. Going forward, they pledged to maintain this level of support for each other. As they are uncertain about what lies ahead, they kindly requested to be kept in the thoughts and hearts of others.
The Bachelor Nation personalities started a relationship in January 2019, which was two months after Bristowe and Shawn Booth ended their three-year engagement. In May 2021, Tartick proposed to Bristowe, and she expressed her happiness with the proposal in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Speculation about their split arose in late July when Bristowe went on a beach vacation without her engagement ring and without her fiancé. Shortly after, she shared a selfie of herself crying with a message that emphasized that people often only highlight the positives in their lives, and that others are not alone in facing struggles. During the same week, Tartick went on a separate trip with his family.
Fans wasted no time bombarding the couple with questions regarding the current state of their relationship, leading Bristowe to address the matter. In her Instagram Story, she expressed sheer disbelief at people's audacity to demand answers from her when she hasn't even had a chance to comprehend her own emotions. She implored them to have some compassion, cautioning that their comments and expectations were causing her distress and even raising concerns for their well-being, as seen in screenshots shared in her "Off the Vine" Facebook group.
Bristowe proceeded to reveal the lyrics of her 2020 song "If I'm Being Honest," urging her followers to listen to the song.
"I may be transparent, but that doesn't mean you know everything about me," the lyrics convey. "And to be truthful, I'm not always as strong as I appear. I have my vulnerable moments, and sometimes, words can have a significant impact on me. The harshest words are often those I direct towards myself."
One month before their social media activity sparked curiosity, Tartick expressed his admiration for his then-fiancée.
"Kaitlyn is incredibly authentic. She always stays true to herself, and she has taught me valuable lessons about authenticity. I have experienced significant personal growth because of her, and I owe her a great deal for that," he shared exclusively with We in June. "Just three years ago, I had never attended a therapy session in my life. Now, I make it a regular practice, going every three weeks. When I reflect on the progress I've made in the past two years within our relationship, I recognize how instrumental she has been in my personal development."

Bristowe and Tartick encountered difficulties and setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic while planning their wedding, leading them to go their separate ways. By August 2022, Bristowe openly admitted that they were struggling during the preparation phase.
"Jason and I have quite a humorous dynamic. When it comes to discussing potential venues, we have distinctly different styles, tastes, and preferences, which can be quite frustrating," the former Bachelorette revealed exclusively to Us. "I'll fall head over heels for a venue that I believe is perfect and available, only to have him disagree and say it doesn't match the style we envision."
