Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison** Butker** has always been grateful for the support of his family.

In a heartfelt Mother's Day tribute shared in May 2020 through X by the Kansas City Chiefs, Harrison expressed his gratitude towards his mother for being his biggest cheerleader and guiding him to become the man he is today.

He also shared his appreciation for his wife, acknowledging her as a wonderful mother to their son and recognizing the sacrifices she has made for their family. Harrison feels truly blessed to have both of these strong women in his life.

During his commencement speech at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas in May 2024, Harrison caused quite a stir with his heartfelt words. He made sure to give a special shoutout to his wife, Isabelle Butker. According to Harrison, Isabelle believes that her life truly began when she embraced her roles as a wife and a mother.

Harrison expressed his gratitude for the many talents he possesses, acknowledging that his success is largely due to his wife, Isabelle. He fondly recalled how they met in band class during middle school and how she later converted to the faith, became his wife, and took on the important role of a homemaker.

Harrison’s grandfather, James, worked in oncology at Atlanta’s Emory University — like Harrison’s mom, Elizabeth Butker — for 28 years before he retired in 2011.

Elizabeth Butker

Elizabeth has been working as a medical physicist at Emory University's department of radiation oncology since 1988. She specializes in brachytherapy and Gamma Knife medical physics care, as mentioned in a 2020 article by Emory's Winship Cancer Institute.

In 1988, Elizabeth earned her master's degree in medical physics from Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to that, she completed her bachelor's degree in chemistry at Smith College in 1985.

Elizabeth expressed her excitement in Emory University's January 2020 newsletter about watching Butker play for the Chiefs over the past three years. She mentioned how proud they are of his success as an NFL kicker and the person he has grown into. "Let's GO CHIEFS!"

Charlotte Butker

Charlotte Butker is the co-founder, president, and COO of MDKeller, where she works alongside her father, Butker Sr., who is a financial analyst. Prior to her role at MDKeller, Charlotte Butker received her MBA from Emory University's Goizueta business school.

Another athlete in the family, Harrison’s older sister, Charlotte, previously played soccer for Emory University.

Isabelle Butker

Harrison and Isabelle started dating in high school. Soon after they began their relationship, Isabelle decided to convert to Harrison's religion, Catholicism.

During a May 2019 interview with EWTN, Isabelle shared her experience of how she came to the decision. She mentioned a moment when she prayed to God, seeking guidance on the right path to take. She felt a sense of being embraced and supported, especially during a mass with Harrison. It was in that moment that she made up her mind to embrace Catholicism.

In May 2017, he asked Isabelle to marry him, and they got married the next year.

"A lot has changed with Division I football and playing in the NFL, but she has been there for me through it all," Harrison shared during a podcast interview on "Kansas City Mom Collective" in January 2023.

James Butker

Harrison announced the birth of his and Isabelle’s first child, son James, in January 2019.

The birth of my son James was a significant moment in my life. In a May 2019 interview with EWTN, James expressed, "My wife Isabelle and I always prioritized our marriage and wedding first, but the arrival of James was truly amazing."

Harrison and Isabelle’s Third Child

While the couple kept the news of their daughter’s birth private, he proudly celebrated his second Super Bowl win in February 2023 with her by his side. They have not revealed her name yet.

Harrison and Isabelle have a third child together, but they have chosen not to share any further details about them. According to his bio on the MDKeller website, Harrison is a devout Catholic who is married to his high school sweetheart. They have three children in total.
