Innovative Nail Designs at the 2024 Met Gala: Rita Ora, Doja Cat, and More

A perfect manicure is essential to complete a Met Gala look.

Stars like Rita Ora, Doja Cat, and Gracie Abrams chose funky manicures for the 2024 Met Gala held on Monday, May 6, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Ora wore a stunning Tom Ford gown adorned with beads from the 1st and 2nd century BC. Her nail art, created by manicurist Naomi Yasuda, featured colorful gel balls. To achieve this look, Yasuda used Aprés Nail’s Extend Gel Novice to roll small balls onto Ora's nails, matching the shades with her gown.

In contrast, Doja opted for a simpler nail look to complement her wet T-shirt dress by Vetements’ creative designer Guram Gvasalia. Saccia Livingston designed Doja's manicure with long nail tips and gel droplets mimicking water.

Stars like Rita Ora, Doja Cat, and Gracie Abrams rocked funky manicures at the 2024 Met Gala, held on Monday, May 6, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Ora looked stunning in her sultry Tom Ford gown, adorned with beads dating back to the 1st and 2nd century BC. To match her outfit, she opted for nail art featuring colorful gel balls. Manicurist Naomi Yasuda used Aprés Nail’s Extend Gel Novice to create small balls, which were then cured onto Ora’s nails and colored to complement her gown.

On the other hand, Doja chose a simpler nail look to go with her wet T-shirt dress by Vetements’ creative designer Guram Gvasalia. Her manicure, designed by Saccia Livingston, included long nail tips and gel droplets to give the illusion of water.
