Sydney Sweeney debuted a new look at the 2024 Met Gala, ditching her usual blonde hair. She chose to go for a darker style to complement her powder blue Miu Miu gown at the star-studded event on Monday, May 6. Sporting short black hair, which seemed to be a wig, she coordinated it with the black flower embellishments on her gown. To complete her ensemble, Sweeney added black latex gloves and a veil adorned with pearls. (The veil was later seen removed once she stepped onto the red carpet.)

Before hitting the red carpet, a video was posted of Sweeney, 26, waving at fans as she left the Carlyle Hotel. Her team helped her with her skirt as she got into a sprinter van heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Sweeney had no problem following this year's dress code for the "Garden of Time" event, which coincided with the theme of "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."

Sweeney's darker appearance may remind some of her recent role in the horror film Immaculate, where she portrayed a pregnant nun in rural Italy. Her demeanor as she left the hotel, with her hands folded, seemed almost religious.

Before her first Met Gala, Sweeney joked about not knowing what happens after the steps. But now, it seems she's an experienced pro.
