Most Kansas City Chiefs players have their friends and family visit them in the locker room after games. However, Travis Kelce is not like most players, and his loved ones are not just ordinary people.
Chief's general manager Brett Veach recently talked about the team's offseason plans on John Middlekauff's "3 and Out" podcast. The discussion quickly turned to Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who are often the center of attention in Chiefs conversations.
Veach seemed used to it.
“That’s the first question I get from all of my immediate friends and family, ‘So what’s Taylor like?’ I’m like, ‘I’ve never met her,’” he said.
Veach disclosed that Kelce, 34, departed from a typical team postgame routine to accommodate the pop superstar.

Brett Veach, who is the general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, mentioned that Travis goes up to see her in a suite during games. He said that families usually come down to the locker room area to see the players, and he has seen her in passing.
It's understandable that Swift, who is 34 years old, prefers to stay close to the privacy of a suite. The area around professional locker rooms is often crowded with media and photographers, who would definitely be interested in the singer.
This has created an unusual situation in the Chiefs locker room, where it seems like the relationship between Swift and someone else doesn't even register. Veach mentioned that after the initial few weeks, no one really talked about the couple's romance.
He mentioned that the only time they remember Taylor and Travis are a couple is when CBS shows them during TV timeouts. However, Travis is respected by the players as a true professional.
The players, on the other hand, were fully focused on winning games. This dedication paid off as the Chiefs emerged victorious against the San Francisco 49ers in February, clinching the Super Bowl LVIII title.
Veach mentioned that Kelce and other players at the Chiefs don't discuss their relationship with Taylor Swift. Despite the assumption that there would be teasing at practice, there is a strong mutual respect among the team members.
Veach expressed his optimism about the possibility of meeting Swift in the future. Swift, who started dating Kelce last summer, was present at a minimum of 13 Chiefs games in the 2023 season.
“It’s been a wild ride,” he said. “And, you know, listen, maybe Travis will bring her around every now and then.”
