Many Pokemon Go players are struggling to complete the Zygarde Special Research due to not knowing the requirements or living in less populated areas.
In order to proceed with the research, players must complete the fourth step which involves traversing three designated routes, capturing a total of 20 Pokemon along these routes, and searching for a challenging-to-find Zygarde Cell. However, the limited availability of these routes may result in frustration for certain players. Patience may be required as waiting for additional routes to be introduced could be the optimal solution.
Despite being available for weeks now, many Pokemon Go players are still struggling to complete the new Zygarde Special Research. Some are unsure about the requirements, while others are hindered by residing in less populated areas.
Niantic recently introduced a new feature in Pokemon Go called Routes, enabling players to collect rewards by following a predetermined path. To commemorate this addition, a special research named "From A to Zygarde" was made accessible. The initial three steps were fairly straightforward, involving tasks such as making five great throws, catching ten Pokemon, and completing some other minor objectives.
However, Step four of this unique research has proved to be a major hurdle for numerous Pokemon Go players striving to evolve Zygarde. Step four includes navigating through three designated routes, capturing 20 Pokemon while traversing these routes, and locating a Zygarde Cell. In a Reddit post, user JananayBanana reached out to the Pokemon Go community to inquire if others were also stuck at this particular step, and it seems that a considerable number of players are facing the same challenge.
Regarding the task of finding routes, many comments in the post highlighted the absence of nearby routes. While some players have the ability to create routes in Pokemon Go, this privilege is limited to a select few. Some commenters residing in urban areas mentioned that they had no issues finding routes. Conversely, there are those who have given up entirely due to the lack of routes in their vicinity or any news about resolution for this problem.
The challenge of completing this special research is exacerbated by the difficulty in locating a single Zygarde Cell. These cells, characterized by a four-point green sparkle, are scattered along walking routes. However, the appearance of these cells is extremely rare. One user shared their experience of walking the same route near their office eleven times before finally stumbling upon a Zygarde Cell on their last attempt. Numerous others have tirelessly explored various Routes, but their efforts have yielded no results. Another user suggested an alternative approach of closing and reopening the app multiple times, which occasionally led to the discovery of a cell. It is worth noting, though, that this method is not foolproof.
Players may want to consider waiting for Niantic to allow more players to create routes since they are a recent addition to the game. The frustration of players, such as Reddit user RapidEnding, is understandable, especially for those living in countries like New Zealand with a smaller population. It could take a significant amount of time for them to discover any nearby routes. Pokemon GO is currently accessible on mobile devices.
