Gerry Turner proposed to Theresa Nist with a Neil Lane ring during the finale of the ABC show on Thursday, November 30.
“Over time, I have fallen more and more in love with you, Gerry,” Theresa, 70, expressed to Gerry, 72, on the last day of filming. “I believe that our life together is not yet over, and that the best is yet to come. I think you are the most incredible man in the world. Now that I have you, I never want to let you go. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Gerry then surprised Theresa by choosing her over runner-up Leslie Fhima, faking her out before confessing his feelings. "When I woke up this morning, it was really difficult. I had mixed feelings and I questioned if I made the right choice. I realized that you're not the right person for me to live with," Gerry told Theresa before getting down on one knee. "You're the person I can't live without. Theresa, I love you with all my heart. I'll always choose you. Will you marry me?"
