In response to the lawsuit filed by Monica Garcia, who claimed to have received unsuccessful cosmetic procedures from Heather Gay's Beauty Lab + Laser company, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star defended herself. Gay, who is also a co-owner of the med spa, took to Instagram on Thursday, November 9, stating that the lawsuit lacks merit and is indicative of a consistent behavior from a desperate individual who resorts to lashing out instead of taking responsibility for unpaid bills. Furthermore, Gay praised Beauty Lab + Laser as an exceptional business.

According to documents obtained by We, Gay and Garcia have been engaged in a continuous legal dispute since August. Their feud began a few weeks prior to the premiere of RHOSLC season 4.

Initially, Beauty Lab + Laser took legal action against Garcia for violating the terms of their agreement and breaching the covenant of good faith and fair dealing. This came about when Garcia supposedly neglected to pay $2,449 for previous cosmetic procedures, despite having signed a contract in December 2019.

Garcia initially paid $449 but did not fulfill her remaining monthly payments, as stated in the documentation. Beauty Lab accuses Garcia of causing substantial losses and damages due to her failure to make timely payments. The company is seeking a minimum of $2,000 in compensation.

In September, Garcia counter-sued; however, she amended her claim on Tuesday, November 7. Garcia argues that she received faulty injections, which were given negligently, and did not deliver the promised results. This is why she was unable to make her payments.

In her filing, it was mentioned that an oral agreement was reached between the parties, whereby Monica compensated a skilled individual to repair the damage caused to her nose and lips by the negligent actions of Beauty Lab's staff. It was stated that no additional payment was owed to Beauty Lab. Gay, who was not initially mentioned by Beauty Lab, was directly named in Garcia's countersuit.

"Heather Gay, an officer and director of Heatherentertainment, Inc. and a member of Beauty Lab and Laser, LLC, has been accused by Beauty Lab of lodging a complaint due to personal animosity towards Monica. Garcia's countersuit contends that the complaint's allegations are baseless, and the motive behind it is solely driven by Heather Gay's animosity. The countersuit does not specify a monetary figure but requests the court to determine the appropriate amount for the consequential damages suffered by Monica."

Gay stated in her Instagram post on Thursday that Beauty Lab is a part of the elite group of providers, ranking in the top 1% and boasting over 3,000 positive reviews. Additionally, she emphasized that their injectors are highly respected within the industry and nationally recognized, and the loyal customer base they have built speaks volumes about their excellence.
