The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s season 4 finale was so powerful that it has now infiltrated the United States government.
During a House Oversight Committee meeting on Wednesday, January 10th, California Representative Robert Garcia referenced a statement from RHOSLC star Heather Gay to explain why he believes that the business dealings of former President Donald Trump should be further investigated.
"As Democrats, what do we have?" Garcia, 46, questioned. "We have receipts, evidence, a timeline, screenshots. We have all the necessary evidence to definitively show that foreign governments were channeling money through Trump properties and into Donald Trump's personal finances, all in violation of the Constitution."
Gay, 49, was seemingly a fan of Garcia’s monologue, reposting the now-viral video via X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday with a series of clapping hands emojis.
Garcia was ecstatic that Gay had seen his speech, responding, "I am genuinely honored - you are iconic."
In return, Gay offered some advice for any future RHOSLC quotes on the House floor: "Don't forget the claps."
As RHOSLC viewers undoubtedly are aware, the congressman was alluding to the season finale of the Bravo series on January 2, in which Gay confronted castmate Monica Garcia about her connection to the Instagram gossip account Reality Von Tease.

“Receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots - everything!” Gay exclaimed, clapping her hands emphatically between each word.
The moment quickly became an instant meme, as did the scene on the beach where Gay revealed Monica’s alleged secret identity to her costars Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, and Lisa Barlow. (Angie Katsanevas didn’t join them until later, when Gay unmasked Monica at an explosive dinner.)
Gay revealed that Monica has been deceiving the group and that she is actually Reality Von Tease. Monica acknowledged her connection to Reality Von Tease, but insisted that she only posted about Jen Shah.

Monica stated that there are lingering questions that have not been addressed on TV yet, expressing, “There is so much more I wanted to convey, but I knew I wouldn't have the opportunity to be heard.” She concluded by saying, “There are many things I could have shared. It wasn't the right moment, but there is still so much more to the story that needs to come out, and I assure you, everyone will want to listen.” Don't miss Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion airing on Bravo on Tuesday, January 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
