As Scotland prepares to face Norway in a Euro 2024 qualifier this Saturday, the question on everyone's mind is who will be starting in Oslo. Steve Clarke's team has already secured victories against Cyprus and Spain at Hampden Park in their quest to qualify for next year's tournament.
In order to maintain their position at the top of Group A, Scotland is aiming for a win against Norway, followed by a home game against Georgia on June 20 in Glasgow. To achieve this, Scotland will need to come up with a strategy to contain the likes of Erling Haaland from Manchester City and Martin Odegaard from Arsenal.
Haaland, aged 22, is expected to feature prominently in the match following his impressive debut season with City. He scored an incredible 52 goals in 53 games and was instrumental in securing victories in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League. Meanwhile, Odegaard led Arsenal to a second-place finish and played a crucial role in their close race with City for the title under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.
Pick your Scotland XI
The visitors' squad features Dominic Hyam, who earned his place after being called up as cover for defender Grant Hanley in the last Scotland squad. Hanley remains out of the squad, leaving Hyam as a potential starter. Meanwhile, John Souttar, who scored a goal against Denmark in November 2021, has been included for the first time. However, he may miss the match due to a knock he picked up.Image:
Despite his impressive performance in March, Scott McTominay has seen limited game time at Manchester United this season. Unfortunately, striker Che Adams will also be absent due to injury.
