"It was one of the first times I outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm's and organizing tracks on the sd card," she mentioned. She typically handles all aspects of her show herself, but decided to save time by letting someone else take care of these tasks. Her music combines elements of synthpop and techno.
Grimes, also known as Claire Boucher, appeared in videos on social media expressing frustration by screaming, pausing songs, and clarifying to the crowd that her tracks were all “double the tempo,” causing challenges in mixing them.
As reported by media sources like Variety, the set was abruptly ended, and Grimes exited the stage midway through her hit song “Genesis.”
She later described it in her apology as “sonic chaos on my end trying to guess how stuff was sounding for u guys.”
