As per the leak, the first segment of the update will showcase the introduction of the new Pyro user Lyney and the beloved Hydro character Yelan. In the second banner cycle, players can expect the return of Childe and Zhongli. Data from the Genshin Impact 4.0 beta has confirmed that Lyney will serve as a new DPS character, utilizing Charged Attacks as the core mechanic of his abilities. Similar to Ganyu, Lyney's Charged Attack will provide varying damage levels based on the charging time. An integral part of Lyney's kit is the ability to taunt enemies, allowing players sufficient time to adjust their position when necessary. Yelan, alongside Hu Tao, has previously set a revenue record in the game, proving her immense popularity. Considered one of, if not the best Hydro character in Genshin Impact, she possesses a versatile kit that enables her to excel in nearly all team compositions. While capable of dealing substantial Hydro damage, her optimal role lies in being a sub-DPS, as most of her damage effects persist on the field when she is swapped out.

Tartaglia, also known as Childe, is a formidable Hydro user whose main role is DPS. He may make an appearance in the main storyline alongside other Harbingers, like Arlecchino, who has been officially introduced as one of Fontaine's main adversaries.
