Genshin Impact's Latest Leak: Charlotte Joins as New Cryo Catalyst User

Get ready for a new addition to Genshin Impact's playable roster - Charlotte, a Cryo catalyst user! This exciting leak reveals that players will soon be able to combine Charlotte's Cryo element with the other six elements to trigger powerful elemental reactions Don't miss out on the opportunity to add this new character to your team in the next major region

A new Cryo catalyst user may soon be added to the playable roster in Genshin Impact, according to a recent leak. The game features seven different elements, with Dendro being the most recent addition. By combining these elements, players can trigger a variety of elemental reactions that offer a range of effects.

In addition to the different elements, characters in Genshin Impact can use five different types of weapons: sword, claymore, polearm, bow, and catalyst. Each weapon type has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. For example, bows and catalysts allow players to attack from a distance, while claymores are particularly effective at breaking certain types of shields.

One of the most reputable leakers in the Genshin Impact community, merlin_impact, has shared some exciting news regarding the upcoming character, Charlotte. Recently, she made an appearance in the Special Program event, which confirmed her involvement in the upcoming quest line during Genshin Impact version 3.7. Although Charlotte's element was not officially announced during the live stream, fans have been speculating that she may be either a Cryo or Anemo character based on the color of her Vision. According to the latest leak, Charlotte will be the first character to have a combination of Cryo element and Catalyst weapon type, making her a Cryo Catalyst user.

Fans have been speculating that having this combination on the roster could be a challenge for the developers, as Catalysts are capable of inflicting elemental damage with Normal Attacks. As a result, this could make the Frozen elemental reaction one of the most potent in the game. To achieve this reaction, players only need to deploy an AoE Hydro effect like Mona's Mirror Reflection of Doom before unleashing damage with Charlotte's Normal Attacks.

Charlotte is not expected to join the Genshin Impact roster until the release of version 3.8, which will come after the arrival of Fontaine. The recent livestream confirmed that Charlotte will not be included in the upcoming update 3.7, which will introduce a new Dendro user character named Kirara. As a four-star character, Charlotte will not be featured in the limited banners that will showcase four different five-star characters.

The first part of the update will introduce two characters: Yoimiya, an Electro user, and Pyro bow DPS Yoimiya. The second banner will feature Alhaitham and Kazuha. Both Yae and Yoimiya hail from the Inazuma region, which could mean that the main storyline will return to the Electro nation.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
