Genshin Impact's Epic V40 Update Unveils Game-Changing Weapons!

New leaks for Genshin Impact's Version 4.0 have uncovered two weapons that will be included when the Fontaine region is introduced. Despite the upcoming release of Version 3.8 next week, which is highly anticipated by HoYoverse, leaks have already begun to hint at the exciting new features in the next patch. Version 4.0 is set to unveil Fontaine, the game's fifth major region, along with an array of fresh characters and mechanics. Presently, teasers are being shared for two weapons featured in the upcoming update.

While Genshin Impact's latest updates usually focus on introducing new characters, weapons also play a significant role in the RPG's gameplay. Each new character that is added to the game comes with their own unique weapon, specifically designed to enhance their individual playstyle. Furthermore, Genshin Impact has introduced various four-star weapons to cater to the specific abilities of different characters, both through the gacha system and in-game events. At present, two free-to-play-friendly weapons from Version 4.0 have had their appearances revealed.

A fresh set of leaks, shared by the prominent Genshin Impact leaker Tao through fellow leaker videre, has unveiled the existence of two new Fontaine weapons. These weapons showcase a similar technological style, with a Claymore featuring serrated chainsaw-like blades and a Polearm equipped with a drill at the tip. Craftable within the game's latest region, players can obtain these weapons without having to rely on Genshin Impact's gacha system. To create these weapons, players must acquire the corresponding recipes and visit one of Genshin Impact's in-game blacksmiths.

Both the upcoming Fontaine weapons are poised to offer Genshin Impact players more alternatives without having to spend money on virtual weapons. Typically, craftable weapons in the RPG are released in sets of five, featuring one craftable weapon of each type alongside new regions. Additionally, leaks from the game have hinted at the availability of premium weapons, including the signature weapon for the five-star Bow character Lyney, upon Fontaine's launch. It is likely that Fontaine's release will also introduce new four-star weapons into the game's gacha pool, following the pattern established by previous regions.

Although Fontaine's release is still more than a month away, details about the Hydro Archon's domain, which is the newest region in Genshin Impact, have already been leaked. Early releases from Version 4.0 have showcased numerous locations within the region, such as the quaint Fontaine fishing village that players will have the opportunity to explore. There are also rumors suggesting that the region may deviate from Genshin Impact's traditional regional structure by featuring not one, but two major cities in Fontaine. When the newest region arrives later this year, Fontaine promises to offer a plethora of exciting experiences for players.
