Genshin Impact players should keep their eyes open for Version 4.5, as one long-awaited character is set to have a banner rerun in the upcoming patch. Genshin Impact may have some good news for Albedo fans, as a reliable source confirmed that the Chalk Prince will make his triumphant return alongside Chiori in Version 4.5's Event Banners.

Though initially rumored for Version 4.3's Event Banners in Genshin Impact, Albedo and Itto were replaced by Ayaka and Yoimiya, respectively. Given that Roses and Muskets features Ayaka, Ayato, and Yoimiya's trip to Fontaine, the banner change makes sense, even though it offers little comfort to Albedo fans who have been waiting for a rerun since November 1, 2022.

Albedo, known as the Chalk Prince, is a 5-Star Geo Sword character with a unique skill set that has intrigued players since his initial release. His return in Version 4.5 will give fans another chance to obtain this highly sought-after character and explore his abilities in combat.

Albedo's best-in-slot weapon is the Cinnabar Spindle, an exclusive 4-Star Sword that can no longer be obtained by new players. While HoYoverse is under no obligation to rerun a Limited Event weapon reward, creating a viable alternative for Version 4.5 would be a great way to boost player interest in one of Genshin Impact's most underrated characters.

What to Expect in Version 4.5

While it remains to be seen which characters will join Chiori and Albedo in Version 4.5, the recent changes to Version 4.4's Event Banners have displaced Shenhe and Ganyu from the banner order. Taking this into consideration, it's quite likely that at least one of Xianyun's adoptive daughters will feature in Version 4.5.

Furthermore, since Shenhe and Ganyu are receiving a new outfit during the Lantern Rite, HoYoverse probably isn't interested in holding off their rerun for too long. Fans speculate that at least one of Xianyun's adoptive daughters will make an appearance in Version 4.5, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming patch.

Chenyu Vale is set to launch in Version 4.4, and while zone exploration does not yield too many Primogems, the Lantern Rite patch has traditionally been generous when it comes to handing out Intertwined Fates. This gives players ample opportunity to prepare for the Event Banners in Version 4.5 and add Chiori and Albedo to their roster of powerful characters.
