HoYoverse has unveiled a significant update for Genshin Impact, introducing players to an entirely new region called Fontaine. This expansion incorporates battle pass weapons, playable characters, and TCG Genius Invokation cards. Within Fontaine, players can engage with new enemy types, explore a bustling city, and experiment with underwater diving mechanics. However, Fontaine is not solely focused on intense battles and subaquatic exploration; it also introduces captivating characters that contribute to the ongoing Archon storyline. Amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Fontaine, players will encounter intriguing non-player characters, including the otherworldly Melusines who maintain separate patrols throughout the city's streets.

According to a recent Genshin Impact leak, version 4.1 will feature several expansions to the in-game map. Additionally, players can expect the introduction of intriguing new enemy types that bear a striking resemblance to the playable female characters. These foes, known as the Seneschal of Frost and the Seneschal of Wind, boast impeccably stylish outfits. Users on the Reddit thread enthusiastically expressed their desire for these aesthetically pleasing designs to be applied to female characters. Some even theorized a potential connection between these enemies and Genshin Impact's Arlecchino due to the shared elements in their outfits.

The upcoming expansion of the Fontaine map in Genshin Impact is anticipated to introduce additional regions beyond those depicted in the image. Fontaine is expected to enrich the central area of Teyvat with its diverse natural features including islands, mountains, and underwater sections. Alongside this, a new event weapon, named Ballad of the Boundless Blue, will provide a 16% increase in normal attack damage and a 12% increase in charged attack damage for a duration of 6 seconds. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3 seconds based on the description found in the leaked image.

Version 4.1 of Genshin Impact will introduce two new playable characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillette, whose elemental powers and abilities have not yet been officially disclosed. Previous leaks suggest that Wriothesley will possess a five-star Catalyst user role, while Neuvillette will wield a Hydro Vision similar to Tartaglia and Yelan.
