Content: Prior to the official launch of Genshin Impact's Version 3.8 update, leaks have already revealed the lineup of four-star characters set to appear on the second half banners of the new patch. Since its release in late 2020, the immensely popular HoYoverse RPG has seen its roster grow significantly, with nearly 70 playable characters available as of Version 3.7. With each patch introducing new characters, the roster has steadily expanded, bringing in members with unique playstyles. However, Version 3.8 is poised to deviate from this trend.
During the late-week airing of the Version 3.8 Special Program for Genshin Impact, HoYoverse confirmed a significant departure from the usual routine for the final Sumeru update. Version 3.8 will exclusively feature re-runs of previous characters, marking the first time in the game's history that no new characters will be added. Despite the absence of newcomers, the update will include several popular characters such as Klee, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Wanderer for players to enjoy once again. Recent leaks have now provided hints about the four-star banner characters set to appear in the second half of Version 3.8.
An update from Genshin Universe, a notorious Genshin Impact leaker, has unveiled the exciting addition of four-star characters for Version 3.8's second banners. Joining the likes of Wanderer and Kokomi, players can look forward to summoning three new four-star characters from different nations. These include the enigmatic Faruzan from Sumeru, the fiery Yanfei from Liyue, and the formidable Rosaria from Mondstadt. Interestingly, this lineup closely resembles Wanderer's initial release in Version 3.3, with the only substitution being Rosaria in place of Gorou. Fans can anticipate the arrival of Wanderer and Kokomi’s banners towards the end of July, approximately three weeks after the launch of Version 3.8.
Genshin Impact Version 3.8 Second Half Banner Characters
Wanderer: five-star Anemo Catalyst character
Kokomi: five-star Hydro Catalyst character
Faruzan: four-star Anemo Catalyst character
Yanfei: four-star Pyro Catalyst character
Rosaria: four-star Cryo Polearm character
The featured characters in Genshin Impact's banners have exceptional synergy with the limited five-star characters available. Faruzan is commonly used in team compositions with Wanderer, providing powerful Anemo Res shredding effects and boosting allies' Anemo damage. Fully built, Rosaria can also provide powerful buffs for Physical damage-focused characters like Eula, with her 4th Ascension Passive buffing allies' Crit Rate and her C6 passive adding Physical Res shred to her Elemental Burst.
Version 3.8 will not introduce any new playable characters, but it will bring a lot of new content to conclude Genshin Impact's Sumeru cycle. The update includes a new limited-time region with several mini-games and sub-events. Additionally, two of Genshin Impact's oldest characters, Klee and Kaeya, will receive new skins for the event. As the developer prepares for the upcoming addition of Fontaine, HoYoverse aims to end the Sumeru region's patch cycle with a bang.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
