Genshin Impact's developer HoYoverse has announced a new set of cards to be included in the Genius Invokation Trading Card Game (TCG) in version 4.0 on August 16. The Genius Invokation TCG has been steadily expanding its selection of playable cards since its introduction in version 3.3, providing players with the opportunity to create strong decks to challenge their friends. Recently, the version 3.8 update introduced character cards inspired by Genshin Impact's Kazuha, Yanfei, and Candace, which showcase their versatile abilities.
The Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact is a turn-based mode that requires players to construct decks to defeat all three of their opponent's character cards. While the rules of the TCG are easy to understand, mastering it requires a significant investment of time. As expected from a card game, players must carefully strategize their next move and build a flexible deck to achieve victory. Each deck in this mode includes 30 action cards and three character cards, all of which are visible to both players. These character cards emulate the skills of their Genshin Impact counterparts, enabling players to influence the outcome of the duel. The match concludes when a player successfully eliminates all three of their opponent's character cards, earning them Primogems as a reward. Additionally, the Genius Invokation TCG can be played against NPCs, which can help players grasp the game's fundamentals.
In a recent blog post, HoYoverse has unveiled all the details regarding the highly anticipated character cards for the upcoming Trading Card Game (TCG) based on the beloved characters from Genshin Impact. Among them are the exceptional characters Lisa, Albedo, and Qiqi.
Notably, Lisa's character card adeptly reflects her impressive skills. Through her normal attacks, she inflicts a significant one electro damage to her target while also afflicting them with the Conductive status effect. Moreover, her elemental burst unleashes a devastating attack that deals two electro damage and summons the awe-inspiring Lightning Rose, which continues to deal two electro damage during the end phase.
Moving on to Albedo's character card, it exemplifies the profound influence of the Geo element. Players who wield this card will have the remarkable ability to reduce the cost of Plunging Attacks through Albedo's extraordinary elemental talent. Additionally, the card boasts an extraordinary elemental burst capable of striking foes with a staggering four Geo damage.

Qiqi, a Cryo user in Genshin Impact, has a character card that features her elemental burst. This burst causes three damage and creates a Fortune-Preserving Talisman. The talisman serves as a healing mechanism, restoring two HP to Qiqi if she is not at full health. Qiqi's elemental skill, on the other hand, summons the Herald of Forest, which provides healing to the character who has taken the most damage, restoring their HP by one when this skill is active.
In addition to the character cards, Genshin Impact version 4.0 introduces two equipment and event cards. One of these cards is the King's Squire weapon, which grants an additional damage point when equipped. The other card, called Golden House, is a support card that allows players to reduce the usage of Elemental Die by one per round. However, in order to activate this ability, players must play a weapon or artifact card with an original cost of at least three. The highly anticipated Fontaine update for Genshin Impact is set to be released on August 16.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version also in development.
