To access the Capturing Light and Shadow quest cave in Genshin Impact, there are various routes you can take. Nevertheless, the most optimal approach involves commencing your journey from the Silver Bottle Courtyard Waypoint and heading towards the southeast. Eventually, you will come across a prominent green trail that guides you right into the cave.

The Hydro Eidolon can be seen wandering in the heart of the lake upon entering the cave. Accompanying the Traveler, it guides them towards a Common Chest. Adjacent to the treasure, there is a Choo-Choo Cart waiting to be activated.

Ride the Cart to reach the initial Streaming Projector and shatter its seal. This action will modify the Mural, requiring players to locate the remaining Streaming Projectors in order to restore the rest of the Mural.

After breaking the first seal, keep going east and take the Four-Leaf Sigil to fly into the entrance ahead.

Inside, proceed into the first left passage, where a narrow corridor awaits. As the Traveler advances, they stumble upon a timid Hydro Eidolon, visibly distressed. In order to liberate the captive creature, one must merely employ any Hydro Skill to extinguish the fiery inferno encircling it. Once liberated, a Water Droplet will commence its journey towards a nearby Common Chest, gradually unlocking its secrets.

Keep progressing until you come across another set of torches. Extinguish the flames of the torches once again to enable the Hydro Eidolon to continue its movement. Remember that the Water Droplet will pass through the wall, while players will need to acquire the Four-Leaf Sigil positioned above it.

After proceeding, players will fight a bunch of Hilichurls, unlock a Common Chest, and can now ride the Cart into the second Streaming Projector.

Right in front of the Mural, players will find a Clusterleaf of Cultivation and an Auspicious Branch, both assisting in the summoning of a multitude of Four-Leaf Sigils. By collecting each of the three Sigils, players will gain access to a narrow alleyway with a track embedded within it.

Inside that alley, there’s another Water Droplet next to an Exquisite Chest. Follow it as it leads the way into three Hydro Monuments.

Players have the ability to activate two characters by utilizing their Hydro Elemental Skills, but the third character can only be unlocked by seeking assistance from the Water Droplet. This helpful entity will enable the unlocking of an additional Common Chest within the cave, as well as granting access to the gate leading into the next area.

Inside the upcoming zone, players will encounter a formidable group of adversaries alongside a Common Chest. Following this encounter, players will come across a fresh set of Elemental Monuments, which consist of Pyro, Hydro, and Cryo Monuments.
