Genshin Impact Splash Art Makeover: Unveiling Stunning Transformations of Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet after Story Advancement

Genshin Impact unveils captivating alterations in HoYoverse's latest additions: Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet Discover the intriguing updates made to their splash arts after the story advancement

Highlights

Genshin Impact has made changes to the splash art of their new characters Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet, reflecting their darker history.

In the new splash art, the characters' facial expressions have been portrayed with more sorrow, exposing their concealed secrets and connections to the malevolent Fatui organization.

Speculations are circulating that Lynette might defect to the side of righteousness, which could pave the way for the potential inclusion of the playable character, Harbinger Arlecchino, in the future.

Genshin Impact has revamped the splash art for their three fresh characters: Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. The pair of siblings, Lyney and Lynette, can presently be found on the Limited Character Banner, set to expire on September 5, granting players only a limited window to recruit them.

Meanwhile, the third character, Freminet, has made several in-game appearances, but hasn't yet been included as a playable character. He is slated to join the roster as a four-star character in the second half of Genshin Impact version 4.0.

Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet have played vital roles in the ongoing Fontaine storyline, which began with Genshin Impact update 4.0. Despite their initial portrayal as friendly and charming characters, the recent story development has unveiled a dark secret surrounding them. In a recent Fontaine trial, Furina, the Hydro Archon, disclosed that all three characters originated from the House of Hearts—a renowned orphanage operated by the Fatui, one of the principal antagonist factions in Genshin Impact. Following this intriguing revelation, HoYoverse released updated introduction bios for the trio. Notably, fans have observed significant changes in their splash arts, as depicted in a comparison image shared by Reddit user Poloroger_582.

This marks the first time HoYoverse has reintroduced their characters since the narrative unfolded their much bleaker past. The primary distinction in the new splash art sets lies in the noticeably sorrowful facial expressions of all three characters. Many fans had harbored suspicions about Lyney and Lynette, particularly when both were seen standing alongside the Harbinger Arlecchino in a previous Fontaine teaser.

Rumors suggest that Lynette, along with several other orphans, were rescued from captivity by Arlecchino. The official story confirms that Arlecchino is the Harbinger in charge of the House of Hearts orphanage and hails from the Hydro nation. This may explain why HoYoverse chose to portray her as one of the main villains in this Archon Quest.

However, many in the community hold onto the belief that she may switch sides and potentially allow Arlecchino to become a playable character in the future. This speculation is not far-fetched, considering that HoYoverse has already introduced Tartaglia and Wanderer as playable characters, both of whom are Harbingers.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
