How to Unlock the Fontaine Reputation System

In Genshin Impact's latest area, Fontaine, there is a multitude of activities that may seem overwhelming. Nevertheless, a crucial task is to activate the local Reputation system and Fontaine Daily Commissions, as they offer achievement rewards, new gadgets, and numerous other benefits.

How to Unlock Daily Commissions in Fontaine

To access Fontaine Daily Commissions, you must first complete Act 2 of the Fontaine Archon Quest: As Light Rain Falls Without Reason. This requires finishing Act 1: Prelude of Blancheur and Noirceur.

After completing Act 2, a World Quest titled Another Horizon of Adventure will unlock automatically. This quest is straightforward and involves speaking to Katheryne at the Fontaine Adventurer's Guild, situated in the northeast of the Court of Fontaine. Once you have spoken to her, the quest will be completed instantly, and Fontaine Daily Commissions will become available from the next server reset.

How to Change Daily Commission Location

By setting your Daily Commission region to "random," there is a possibility of them taking place in Fontaine now that it is accessible in the Hydro nation. However, to guarantee that they occur in Fontaine, you can manually choose this option.

To do this, go to the Adventurer Handbook menu and click on the second tab labeled "Commissions." From there, choose Fontaine from the region dropdown located in the top right corner. Beginning with the next server reset, all Daily Commissions will take place exclusively in Fontaine until further changes are made.

How to Unlock the Fontaine Reputation System

Unlocking the Reputation system in Fontaine is straightforward. Once you finish Act 2 of the Fontaine Archon Quest, titled "As Light Rain Falls Without Reason," the Steambird Interview quest will automatically appear in your quest log.

This quest is quite simple: just make your way to the Steambird headquarters, located on the west side of the Court of Fontaine, and speak with Euphrasie, the Chief Editor of the newspaper. After a short conversation, she will introduce the Reputation system, which includes the standard methods of earning Reputation points found in every region: World Exploration, Quest completion, Bounties, and Requests.

Players need 450 Reputation points to reach Fontaine Reputation Level 2 before being able to accept commissions for Requests or Bounties. Completing the two available acts of the Archon Quest will reward players with 100 points each, giving them a total of 200 points. The remaining 250 points will need to be earned through world exploration and completing World Quests, with each World Quest typically worth 20 points. Below are the points needed for each level and the corresponding rewards for players.
