Focalors is expected to be introduced as a Hydro Sword character in Genshin Impact, with leaks suggesting a potential release alongside past Archons in Version 4.2. Furthermore, leaks have hinted at her gameplay mechanics, which may involve gravity and the ability to reduce teammates' HP in exchange for powerful buffs. Now, some details about the Hydro Archon's story have been revealed prior to the official launch of the region.

According to a leak from Genshin Impact leaker StepLeaker, the story of the Hydro Archon suggests a resemblance to previous Archons. It is rumored that after the previous Archon's passing, the new Hydro Archon split into two parts. One part is described as an adolescent girl with a temperamental side, while the other part acts as an impartial judge, choosing to remain in seclusion. This storyline seems to share similarities with the dual-sided persona of Inazuma's Raiden Shogun.

The rumor of one part of the Archon serving as an "impartial" figure aligns with Fontaine's main concepts. Fontaine, a region heavily teased to revolve around the theme of justice, refers to its Archon as the "God of Justice" in official materials. The recent Version 3.8 Special Program also highlighted the emphasis on law and order in the region, with the patrolling Melusine enforcing justice and showing suspicion towards outsiders. Fontaine is expected to be introduced in Version 4.0, set to release in August.
