These characters are reportedly planned for later in the Fontaine cycle, following the release of Version 4.0 which introduced Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Neuvillette and Wriothesley have also been confirmed to debut in Version 4.1. Leaks are now hinting at the gameplay roles of future characters in the game.

Cloud Retainer's addition to Genshin Impact has been highly speculated by players for years. The Liyue adeptus was a significant character in the main story of the China-inspired region and has appeared in multiple Liyue events. The addition of both characters will face tough competition within Genshin Impact's pool of healers. Kokomi and Bennett have long been popular choices for players seeking a healer, offering strong healing abilities and versatility for various team compositions.
