Klee and Eula's recent double banner in Genshin Impact has astounded numerous players with remarkably low sales, defying expectations for these beloved characters.
Eula and Klee, once renowned for their formidable damage output, have gradually lost their allure within the game's character meta. The dwindling popularity of their banner sales can be attributed to players tactfully hoarding their in-game currency, eagerly anticipating future months that promise exciting new content. This includes the imminent introduction of captivating characters such as Lyney, Lynette, Freminet, and the highly anticipated new Hydro Archon.
The revenue chart for update 3.8 in Genshin Impact reveals disappointing sales figures for the initial double banner. This banner showcased the highly sought-after characters, Klee, a problematic five-star Pyro user, and Eula, a long-awaited Cryo claymore unit.
In recent months, each banner cycle in Genshin Impact has presented a dual banner format, allowing players to summon two distinct five-star characters concurrently. Typically, these banners remain active for 3 to 4 weeks before being replaced by a new roster of limited characters.
Reddit user PotatoCatPi recently shared an intriguing chart displaying the sales figures for the previous double banner featuring the Pyro user Klee and the Cryo claymore wielder Eula. Surprisingly, the chart revealed that this particular banner set a new record for the lowest number of sales. This outcome caught many players off guard, as both Klee and Eula are highly popular characters. Eula, in particular, has been eagerly anticipated since her last appearance in 2021, with over 500 days passing without a banner showcase. Renowned for her exceptional DPS capabilities and focus on Physical damage, she is considered one of the top-tier characters in Genshin Impact.
Despite Eula's status as a long-standing character in the game, boasting the highest recorded damage output, her unparalleled qualities did not translate into strong sales for the banner. Klee, who was one of the first limited five-star characters introduced in 2020, has gradually fallen out of the character meta as more intricate and dynamic characters joined the roster.
The low number of sales for this banner can be attributed to various factors. One reason could be that many players are saving their Primogems for the upcoming months, which will bring new and exciting content. Genshin Impact's official social media accounts have already confirmed the addition of three new characters – Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet – to the roster.
Furthermore, promotional videos for Fontaine have already showcased several future characters, including the highly anticipated Hydro Archon. Additionally, there are rumors suggesting that Wriothesley, a new Cryo user, will soon be joining the roster.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
