A recently leaked Genshin Impact update, expected to be released around November 7, has revealed the lineup of characters for the first half of update 4.2. As per the usual update schedule from HoYoverse, the game's updates are split into two banner cycles, each showcasing a unique selection of limited characters and weapons.

In the ongoing phase 1 of Genshin Impact 4.1, players have been introduced to Neuvillette, a new five-star character, and the highly popular Pyro polearm user, Hu Tao. Despite the recent release of 4.1, the game's official social media accounts have already confirmed the addition of two more characters in the upcoming update.

Developer HoYoverse has confirmed that Genshin Impact update 4.2 will introduce the highly anticipated characters Furina, the Hydro Archon, and Charlotte, a Cryo user. Both characters have previously appeared in the game's main storyline. As an Archon, Furina is expected to be one of the most powerful and versatile characters in Fontaine. Renowned Genshin Impact leaker hxg_diluc has shared further details about the characters that will be featured in the first part of update 4.2. According to the leak, phase 1 of version 4.2 will showcase the following characters:

- Furina: A Hydro sword user

Baizhu - Dendro catalyst user

Collei - Dendro bow user

Beidou - Electro claymore user

Charlotte - Cryo catalyst user

The lineup has been generating great enthusiasm among fans as the initial banner highlights the inclusion of two fresh faces: Furina and Charlotte. As per the latest gossip, Furina is expected to possess an extraordinary kit allowing her to summon numerous elemental lifeforms. These spectral entities have the capability to inflict substantial damage upon multiple nearby adversaries on the battlefield.

Furina's versatility makes her a valuable addition to any Genshin Impact team composition, a trait commonly seen in Teyvat's Archons. Rumors suggest that she will work well alongside Baizhu, as his healing abilities complement her strengths.

Like other Hydro characters, Furina's abilities will likely be influenced by her HP. Charlotte will be the second Cryo catalyst user to join the game, following Wriothesley in the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.1. These two characters may synergize effectively, with Charlotte rumored to be a Cryo healer and Wriothesley specializing in DPS.
