The NFL is showing its love for Taylor Swift ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New York Jets.
"Tailored for Sunday Night," tweeted the official NBC Sunday Night Football Twitter account, along with a video shared via X on Friday, September 29.
The promotional clip starts with Travis Kelce, 33, Taylor Swift's new love interest, stepping onto the field while her popular song "Welcome to New York" sets the background mood. The camera then shifts to a close-up of Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, preparing for the upcoming game. It proceeds to showcase a combination of impressive plays by the Chiefs in a highlight reel. Extending its focus to New York City, the video captures a series of remarkable plays executed by the Jets.
Speculation is circulating that Swift, 33, might be present at the Chiefs vs. Jets game on Sunday, October 1. Last weekend, she was seen at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, watching the Chiefs triumph over the Chicago Bears. Fox Sports noted that the Chiefs vs. Bears game was the most-watched telecast on any network last week, possibly because of Swift's attendance.
Upon hearing the rumors about Swift's possible attendance, Fox approached her record label and publishing company for permission to use her music in the telecast. However, they were reportedly declined due to the ongoing speculation regarding her potential relationship with Kelce.

At the game, Swift was seen on TV, enthusiastically participating in the celebrations and cheering for Travis alongside his mother, Donna Kelce, from their family's private stadium box. Fans were taken aback by Swift's unexpected presence at the venue, where she had previously performed during her Eras Tour back in June. Even some of Travis' teammates were surprised to see her there.
"He informed me suddenly, like right before the event. Trav has this way of casually mentioning things where you're never quite sure if he's being truthful," Mahomes, 28, revealed during a press conference after the game. "On Friday, he just nonchalantly mentioned, 'Oh yeah, I think she'll be coming to the game... this weekend,' and then went about his business... That's just Travis."
Following the Chiefs' 41-10 victory over the Bears, Travis and Swift were seen exiting the venue together and appearing affectionate during a postgame celebration.
