Game-Changing Fortnite Update Unveils Exciting New Item and Groundbreaking Augments

Fortnite introduces an exciting update, featuring a brand new item and two thrilling Reality Augments Among them is a highly anticipated, revamped version of a beloved Augment that was previously vaulted by popular demand

Epic Games has released a hotfix for Fortnite, implementing various changes to the game. These include the removal of an exotic weapon, the introduction of a new healing item, and the inclusion of two Reality Augments. In the span of over a month since the beginning of Chapter 4 Season 2, Fortnite has undergone multiple revisions. Epic Games has continuously rolled out updates and hotfixes to enhance gameplay and address balance issues. The most recent major Battle Royale update, v25.11, went live on June 27, bringing the Repeater Rifle and two Reality Augments to the game. Shortly after, a hotfix was issued, eliminating the Kinetic Boomerang and introducing the Sharp Tooth Shotgun. This shotgun resembles the infamous Pump Shotgun but boasts improved long-range capabilities, a narrower spread, and a magazine capacity limited to four bullets before requiring a reload.

Following the implementation of the hotfix, the Fortnite Summer Escape event commenced. Consequently, players did not anticipate any further additions to the game on the subsequent Tuesday. To their surprise, a new throwable and a couple of Reality Augments were introduced. Within the game, players now have the opportunity to obtain the new Slap Splash item, as well as the Splash Party and Roaming Redeploy Augments.

The Slap Splash item bears resemblance to the previously vaulted Chug Splash healable. Players can throw it to simultaneously heal multiple players, providing a healing boost of 15 HP and enhancing energy levels for a brief period. Acquiring the Splash Party Reality Augment presents an avenue for obtaining Slap Splashes easily. As an Exotic rarity item, it may prove challenging to obtain.

The Roaming Redeploy Augment offers a more balanced alternative to the popular Aerialist Augment. The Aerialist Augment was beloved by the Fortnite community for its ability to allow gamers to redeploy their glider at any moment, but it was ultimately removed from the game due to its excessive power. This augment gave players an unfair advantage by enabling them to swiftly traverse the map at will. In contrast, the Roaming Redeploy Augment only permits glider redeployment under specific circumstances, namely when players are already protected against fall damage. This limitation ensures that the augment is activated under controlled conditions, such as when using a Hop Flower or a zipline. Fortnite can be enjoyed on various platforms including Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
