The official website for the Frieren anime series announced on Friday, October 13, 2023, that there will be four new cast members and a new key visual for the upcoming story arc. The new story arc will begin with the seventh episode of the series on Friday, October 20, 2023, airing at the usual 11 pm Japanese Standard Time.
Since its premiere, the Frieren anime has gained immense popularity during the first three weeks of the Fall 2023 season, particularly after its 2-hour special debut. This series also made history by being the first television anime series to premiere in NTV's "Kinyo Roadshow" programming block, which is typically reserved for feature films.
The Frieren anime is a captivating rendition of the renowned manga series, titled after its creators Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. Originally introduced in April 2020, both the anime and the manga enjoyed an impressive reception from fans, leading to its continuous serialization.
