According to the gathered information, individuals affected by the phenomenon have reported encountering apparitions resembling their deceased loved ones or acquaintances in an uncanny resemblance to their appearance prior to their demise. Experts in the field have deduced that these apparitions are the result of elusive creatures known as Einsam, phantom demons who ensnare their victims by employing illusions based on the deceased.

During their encounter at the foggy mountain crossing, Frieren and Fren were faced with the apparitions of phantom demons. Frieren easily saw through the illusion and used her magic to destroy the phantoms, with Himmel taking form for her and Heiter for Fren.
Continuing their journey near Riegel Canyon, Frieren and Fren were awed by the presence of a magnificent Solar Dragon. Frieren desired to defeat the dragon and acquire a magical Grimoire from its nest but recognized that this task would prove challenging.
