Francia Raisa and Selena Gomez appear to be having the final say in regards to their rumored disagreement. On Friday, October 13, Raisa, aged 35, took to Instagram and announced, "Exciting News coming Monday… #nobeefjustsalsa." She shared this alongside a picture of her and 31-year-old Gomez sitting together at a bowling alley, both wearing matching sweatshirts.
The close friends appeared joyful in the photo, playfully showing off their matching "No Beef, Just Salsa" hoodies, which refers to Raisa's recent affirmation that there is no animosity between her and Gomez despite some minor challenges in their friendship. In another picture, the actresses stuck out their tongues and made comical expressions, once again drawing attention to the mischievous sweatshirt. Raisa concluded her post by including a picture of a T-shirt carrying the same catchy slogan.
Raisa's followers showered love on the girls' unity and adorable wardrobe. Jordin Sparks expressed her excitement with a resounding "YESSSSSSS! I can't wait!" in the comments, while Christian Serratos echoed the sentiment, saying, "I can't wait!"
Raisa and Gomez formed a friendship back in 2007 when they both starred in Secret Life of the American Teenager and Wizards of Waverly Place, respectively.

"We started chatting, both of us were in relationships at the time, and we quickly became close," Raisa reminisced in an interview with Extra in October, reflecting on their initial encounter while visiting children at a hospital. "Around the time when my boyfriend and I called it quits, and she experienced a breakup too, she reached out to me. She said, 'I'm going through some tough times ... going through a breakup.' I replied, 'Girl, same here,' and from that moment on, we became inseparable."
Ten years after their first meeting, Raisa selflessly donated one of her kidneys to Gomez in 2017, during the time the actress was combating lupus. Though Gomez expressed gratitude for this remarkable gesture, in the following years, observant fans began to suspect that Gomez and Raisa were experiencing a strain in their relationship. Adding fuel to the speculation, Gomez heightened tensions by declaring in a November 2022 interview with Rolling Stone that Taylor Swift was her solitary friend within the industry. Raisa responded to this remark with a subtle shade, leaving a comment that simply read "interesting," before later deleting it.
Following their reconciliation, Raisa and Gomez have restored their friendship. In a heartfelt Instagram post in July, Gomez expressed her admiration for the How I Met Your Father actress, stating, "Happiest of birthdays to this incredible individual. Regardless of where life leads us, my love for you remains unwavering. ♥️ @franciaraisa." Shortly after, Raisa began following Gomez once again on social media.
When questioned about her relationship with Gomez later that month, Raisa assured TMZ that there was no animosity between them, which seems to have acted as a catalyst for their new collaboration. "There's no conflict, guys," said Raisa. "I received so many wonderful birthday messages, and I am genuinely grateful to everyone... It's a fresh start, you know," she concluded.
