Introduction
Game Freak, the developer behind the popular Pokemon series, has recently encountered a couple of bugs in the latest expansion for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These bugs have caused some inconvenience for players, but the good news is that fixes are in the works. In this article, we'll delve into the details of the bugs, the upcoming patches, and the exciting content that the Indigo Disk DLC has brought to the games.
Pokemon Indigo Disk
The latest bit of DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, known as the Indigo Disk, was released in December, offering players access to new areas, pocket monsters, and a host of new features. However, along with the expansion's exciting content, a few hiccups have been discovered that can affect gamers if they are not careful.
Bug Details
Two major glitches have been identified in the Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, both of which have the potential to disrupt the gameplay experience for trainers. The first bug involves the Pokemon Inkay and a softlock issue that occurs when players use a Rare Candy or Experience Candy on their Inkay before it reaches level 30. This bug results in button inputs no longer registering after the level up message, effectively softlocking the player.
The second bug is related to TM 223 Metal Sound and its crafting materials. Currently, one of the components required to craft the TM is available from Shieldon, a Pokemon that can only be encountered in Pokemon Violet. This presents a significant issue for players of Pokemon Scarlet, as they are unable to obtain the crafting material and teach their pocket monsters the attack.
Fixes and Updates
Nintendo and Game Freak have acknowledged the existence of these bugs and have reassured players that fixes are on the way. According to their announcement, a patch is scheduled for release after late January of next year, addressing the issues with Inkay and TM 223 Metal Sound. In addition, players will have the opportunity to receive the TM as a Mystery Gift before the patch is released, providing a temporary solution until the corrections are implemented.
The release of the Indigo Disk DLC in December brought a wealth of exciting content to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Notably, the expansion introduced new areas, pocket monsters, and a variety of features that have expanded the games' world. Players can now capture Legendary Pokemon from past games, including Groudon, Lugia, and Zekrom, as well as explore the skies of the three main areas with the ability to fully fly while riding Koraidon and Moraidon. The DLC also introduced Paradox Forms of some older Pokemon, adding a new dimension to the gameplay experience.
