9-1-1 fans are buzzing with excitement after Celebrity Family Feud possibly revealed a hint about Ryan Guzman's character, Eddie Diaz.

The cast of 9-1-1 recently took to social media on Saturday, April 6, to give fans a sneak peek behind the scenes of an upcoming episode on the popular game show. The episode features Guzman, along with Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Bryan Safi, and Tracie Thoms, who were selected to compete against the cast of Amazon Freevee's Jury Duty. The episode is scheduled to air later this summer on ABC.

After watching a preview of the episode, dedicated fans quickly noticed a common theme: almost every actor from 9-1-1 who appeared on Family Feud plays a queer character on the show. Hinds and Thoms, both 48 years old, portray the lesbian couple Hen and Karen, while Safi plays the gay 9-1-1 operator Josh. Stark's character Buck recently came out as bisexual in the 100th episode.

Guzman, on the other hand, stands out as the only exception. His character Eddie has been portrayed as straight throughout the seven seasons of the show, which has left fans wondering about his role in the lineup.

One social media user asked if Eddie is gay, while another mentioned their favorite aspect of the 9-1-1 cast participating in Celebrity Family Feud. They noted that all the actors portray queer characters, except for Ryan, but joked that it may happen in the future.

Another person expressed disbelief that Celebrity Family Feud unintentionally revealed Eddie Diaz's sexuality.

Some fans speculated whether the timing of the episode, potentially airing during Pride Month in June, hinted at what might unfold. "YALL I think the episode doesn’t come out til like May or June I think, meaning the season would be done, meaning that Eddie comes out this season, cause why is Ryan there?" one fan pondered.

The decision by Family Feud to feature recurring actors Thoms and Safi on the team instead of main cast members like Kenneth Choi, Peter Krause, and Angela Bassett sparked discussions among viewers.

"Wow, what a diverse group of characters!" exclaimed one person. Another added, "It's cool that most of them are queer, it brings a unique perspective to the story."

Many fans have been hoping for Eddie to end up with his best friend Buck, even though Eddie has only dated women on the show. Some speculate that as Buck discovers his sexuality, Eddie may also go through his own journey of coming out.

In a recent episode of the ABC series, Buck shares his first kiss with a man. Throughout the episode, Buck seeks Eddie's attention, but eventually confesses his feelings for their mutual friend, Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.).

Despite the last-minute change in the storyline, showrunner Tim Minear reassured fans that the upcoming episode on Thursday, April 11, will provide clarity on the tension between Buck and Eddie.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Minear, aged 60, explained that Buck and Eddie are best friends. However, the fear of revealing their true feelings and uncertainties makes it difficult for them to open up completely. The next episode will focus on Buck struggling with the guilt of keeping secrets from his best friend.

For now, Buck and Eddie are focused on their individual paths, according to Minear. Buck is discovering more about himself and has formed a new friendship. Minear mentioned that he cannot accurately foresee how their storylines will unfold in upcoming episodes.

Minear also mentioned that Eddie has a unique dating history compared to Buck. He mentioned that Eddie has been in a relationship with a woman, married to a woman, and has a child with a woman. Eddie also seems to have complex emotions about his role in the world. Minear shared that while Eddie's issues may not be identical to Buck's, they will be delving into some of Eddie's experiences in the upcoming episode.
