Faith Martin's Candid Expression Prior to Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner's Wedding

Faith Martin, from The Golden Bachelor, opened up about her complex relationship with newlyweds Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. She discussed their transparent communication and ongoing friendship during a recent episode of the "Almost Famous" podcast. Faith, 61, shared that she knew about Gerry and Theresa's relationship before they went public, and that they frequently check in with each other and express their love and support.
Although excited for the happy couple, Faith confessed to experiencing moments where she needed to retreat to the bathroom to shed some tears. She explained that she would then reach out to Theresa for reassurance and encouragement, needing to hear about their happiness in order to mend her own heart. Faith shared that her heart has gradually healed through conversations with Gerry and Theresa following The Golden Bachelor, but maintaining a friendship with her ex and his new spouse continues to present difficulties.
"It's still difficult because I was so deeply in love with him, and I'm not sure if I'll ever find those same qualities in another man. So, I definitely felt the loss, but I'm genuinely happy for them," she expressed.
Faith was among the many celebrities present at the couple's televised Golden Wedding ceremony on January 4th. Faith made her reality TV debut in September 2023 on The Golden Bachelor, where she received Gerry's first impression rose. Despite forming a strong bond with Gerry and introducing him to her family in Washington state, she was ultimately eliminated after the hometown dates.

"At this moment, I'm feeling numb. It will take some time before I can make sense of it all, if I ever do," Faith admitted in a confessional after being eliminated from the show. "I felt such a strong connection, to the point where I was ready to spend the rest of my life with the guy. I had hoped for so much more for myself and my children. Maybe it's just not meant to be."
Although she did not find her happy ending on television, Faith shared during a recent podcast that being on the show has allowed her to consider new romantic possibilities. "It helped me to open up my heart again and realize that I still have the capacity to love. Recognizing that my heart is not empty after all made me realize that there is hope for a new perspective," she explained to Trista Sutter, the original Bachelorette, who was co-hosting the "Almost Famous" podcast with Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti.

Faith hinted that she has experienced some romance since being on Golden Bachelor. "I haven't gone on a date or anything, but I have done some flirting," she revealed. "There's someone I've been flirting with quite a bit, and I was starting to think, 'It would be really fun to meet up with that person.'"
When Sutter, 51, asked for more information about the person, Faith refused to share, hinting that he "might be" a figure known to Bachelor Nation.
