At the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 reunion, Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae finally discussed the reason behind their fallout after their onscreen romance. Colin revealed during the second part of the Bravo special, which aired on Tuesday, July 18, that they ventured into something together after the filming ended. However, it eventually became toxic, leading him to end the relationship.
Daisy, on her part, asserted that the couple had a mutual impact on each other before they ended their relationship.
"Upon learning about his breakup with his ex-girlfriend in April [2022], I felt a sense of hope and anticipation. Not because of their breakup, but because there was a possibility of something happening between Colin and me. We both had a mutual attraction, and we could sense it," Daisy explained. "However, when I discovered that he had been involved with someone else [whom he was working with], I immediately closed myself off and became defensive. This aspect was not depicted or aired."
Colin was accused by the chief stew of provoking strong feelings of guilt within her regarding her friendship with Gary King. It was revealed later on during the show's filming that Daisy and Gary had a secret involvement prior to season 4.
"This occurred continuously throughout the year, not just during season 4. I inquired about the difference between his relationship with this woman and my relationship with Gary. He replied, 'The difference is that I am informing you that there is nothing between me and this woman. There is no future with her, even if we end our relationship,'" he explained. "He is currently involved in a serious relationship with this undisclosed woman. I was shocked and deeply hurt upon learning this. The toxicity had always been present due to the absence of trust."

Colin’s Propositions Toward Daisy Throughout the Season

Daisy alleged that Colin had made advances towards her on multiple occasions between seasons 2 and 3.
In retaliation, Colin dismissed his previous encounters with Daisy as "irrelevant" since he never acted upon his flirtatious behavior. "I have consistently harbored feelings for Daisy and openly confessed them to her," he confessed.
Daisy’s Pre-Season 4 Hookup With Colin — Which Overlaps With Her Gary Connection
"Prior to shooting season 4, Daisy and I had a romantic involvement. Immediately after, I contacted Gary and shared the news with him. He was thrilled about it," Colin disclosed. "This is a piece of information unknown to the audience. And this is why our relationship became toxic because it was impossible to rationalize with her. I have come to realize this and decided to end things with her."
The engineer said he “started something” with Daisy before they joined Parsifal III. “I found out [about Daisy and Gary’s past hookup] halfway through the season.”
Daisy Claims Colin Was Involved With Another Woman Amid Their Romance
Daisy shared her reaction when she learned about Colin's involvement with another girl. Despite this, she mentioned that she continued engaging romantically with him due to her age and the current year being 2023. She expressed her belief that she shouldn't feel ashamed for kissing multiple individuals. Reflecting on her experiences with both Gary and Alex Propson, Daisy affirmed her willingness to explore such connections. When Colin disclosed his involvement with someone else while they were together, Daisy expressed a mindset of wanting to work out their situation. On the other hand, Colin questioned why it was an issue for him to be involved with other people, as he openly communicated about it with Daisy. However, Daisy later mentioned that she discovered the presence of the unknown woman later than she would have preferred. Despite Colin's actions, Daisy stated that she is currently in a relationship with a girl who treats her exceptionally well.

Daisy confronted Colin, accusing him of causing a divide between her and Gary out of jealousy. "You manipulated me into feeling guilty about my friendship with Gary, to the point where I cut off all communication with him," she shared with her colleagues.
Colin, on the other hand, confessed to feeling "insecure" about his ex-girlfriend's involvement with Gary. He further expressed his astonishment and shock when watching the show retrospectively, as he discovered numerous conversations and moments between them that were completely unknown to him.

During their exchange, Daisy made a claim that Colin had been flirting with Ileisha Dell in season 4. Yet, the chef had a contrasting recollection of her connection with Colin.
"That's actually the first time I've heard such an accusation to that degree. Colin and I had a great rapport right from the start. However, I was in a committed relationship at the time, so I had no knowledge of what was happening between Daisy and Colin," Ileisha explained. "I am not interested in pursuing anything while being in a relationship."
Colin admitted he had “chemistry” with Ileisha that he didn’t act on.

Colin and Gary expressed their desire to eventually resolve their problems. Despite this, they remained hopeful about their relationships with Daisy.
"I apologize for getting emotional. It's the outcome of being vulnerable. I love both of them, and they have taught me valuable lessons about myself," Daisy stated at the conclusion of the reunion. "I do have some regrets, but what matters most is that I know I have a kind heart and good intentions. It's time to move forward and upward."
