Apple TV+'s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will mark the first live-action television addition to the Monsterverse. This series will explore the mysterious Monarch organization, initially introduced in the film Godzilla (2014). While Monarch claims to study Titans, two siblings, after discovering their father's link to the organization, will dig into its hidden history. In addition to Godzilla, the show will feature other Titans.

Apart from commencing with an awe-inspiring clash between a colossal spider and a massive crab, the film also reintroduces a familiar character from the franchise—Bill Randa played by John Goodman—who had previously appeared in Kong: Skull Island. His presence in the initial scene verifies that his two children will be the ones delving into Monarch's activities to unravel the mysteries surrounding this organization.
Which Titans Are Appearing In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters?
The trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters confirmed the return of Godzilla in the series, following his appearance in Godzilla vs Kong. In that film, Godzilla and Kong joined forces to defeat the human-made MechaGodzilla after their epic battle. Godzilla retains his title as the King of the Monsters, while Kong returns to rule in the Hollow Earth. The trailers for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters also reveal flashbacks of Godzilla in San Francisco, as well as his grand return in a desert-like setting.
However, Godzilla is not the only Titan in the series. The opening scene introduces a new monster named Manteclaw, a gigantic crab-like creature that emerges from the ground to attack another Titan, Mother Longlegs. Mother Longlegs is a massive spider that terrorizes Goodman, but is confronted by Manteclaw. The end of the latest trailer also confirms the appearance of the Endoswarmer, a colossal beetle-like creature. One of the characters unintentionally causes numerous Endoswarmer eggs to hatch, resulting in a horde of smaller yet terrifying Titans pursuing them.
The species known as Mother Longlegs could potentially be the formidable Queen Mother Longlegs, as seen in Kong: Skull Island. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters introduces several enigmatic creatures. Arguably the most terrifying monster featured in the trailer is a colossal Titan with tentacles for its face, menacingly displaying its sharp teeth while its mouth remains wide open. The audience also catches a glimpse of another Titan, equipped with wings, gracefully soaring over the jungle and attacking a ship. While the main focus of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters centers around two siblings attempting to unravel a mystery, the opening scene hints at a heavy emphasis on Titans, both new and old, making their appearances.
