According to a source, Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip (RHONY Legacy) Season 5 will now air before Season 4, as Season 4 has been rescheduled for spring 2024. This decision is being made to capitalize on the success of the new RHONY and Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake. RHONY Legacy features original cast members Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, and Kristen Taekman. This announcement comes one month after the premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14, which introduced a new cast including Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield.

Jill Zarin, who expressed her dissatisfaction with salary differences among the cast members, is noticeably absent from the Legacy lineup of the newest RHONY installment. In March, she disclosed to Access Hollywood that she did not agree with some of the girls' belief that they deserved higher pay.

Kelly, Luann, Dorinda, Sonja, Ramona, and Kristen all went to Saline Beach on St. Bart's in June to film. This is the same location where Luann, Sonja, and Ramona vacationed in season 5 of RHONY in 2012.

Apart from revisiting their RHONY roots, two cast members have recently embarked on a new reality TV project. Luann and Sonja have brought life back to the small town of Benton, Illinois, in their show "Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake," which premiered last month. Their escapades in Benton included activities like off-roading, fishing for crappie, and attending the town's unique testicle festival.

Sonja shared in an exclusive interview with Us in July that she and Luann always find a way to make things work on Welcome to Crappie Lake. She emphasized that they reach a compromise and neither of them are in the wrong; they simply have different perspectives on things.

While Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season 5 focuses on former RHONY cast members, season 4 showcases a diverse group of eight women from various Housewives franchises. These include Vicki Gunvalson, Gretchen Rossi, Brandi Glanville, Camille Grammer Meyer, Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Alex McCord, and Caroline Manzo.

The season's production, which was set in Morocco, concluded in January. During the same month, several sources reported that Brandi and Caroline left the trip early following an incident where Brandi reportedly kissed Caroline multiple times without her consent. In March, Brandi took to Twitter to dispute claims of inappropriate behavior, stating that both she and Caroline were heavily intoxicated. Meanwhile, Caroline described the alleged interaction as highly traumatic during an April appearance on the "Two T's in a Pod" podcast hosted by Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge. She also asserted that she would never participate in another season of RHUGT or Real Housewives of New Jersey.

"I was completely finished with it and truly relieved to have moved on. I distanced myself for a specific motive," she expressed. "I consistently maintained that in order for me to return, it would require a substantial sum of money that would be imprudent to turn down."
